Laundy/Dogs has reached out to NRL about topping up Fa"asuamaleaui contract with a 12% share in 1 of his pubs, precedent was set last year with Tripp/Storm
This is what we are dealing with when trying to land talent
How does that work? Is it like a sign on fee type arrangement?
I'm not sure mate article was in the Australian the Bulldogs need to request permission from nrl.
seems strange if nrl allow it tbh.
We should be going to meriton and asking to do same
Agreed seems dodgy and easily manipulated
The joffa thing makes very little sense to me. I assumed at first that there must have been some need to free up roster spots but it turned out there was nothing to be gained by letting him go. No other club does this
The undermining of this club needs to stop.
That’s straight out the Teflon Tim play book Garry.
Disagree, looks more to me like Pascoe & Lee act independently, appoint Fulton for recruitment and retention, impose the regime on Sheens & co, pushing out mcDonnell and the new regime stamps their authority making a big move by pushing out Joffa.

new regime needed a quick kill.
@jirskyr I dont understand how you can say Avo is being extreme ?
you say the Holman Barnes group won’t be receptive to an external review ? Which I think everyone agrees with when you see the way , Lee stormed out of that dinner , and the way he conducts himself with anyone who questions his position .
So if we all take that as a given , then Avos take of that we need to sell or fold , can’t really be considered extreme , if the current ownership model / group are perceived or actually are inept .
Because the very fact they wouldn’t in-act any recommendations , and take on board constructive criticism , including that they aren’t the right person for their job , is the very reason everyone is calling for their heads in the first place .And why Avo , and to be honest I’d say most supporters . Can’t see any path forward with this ownership group / exco being apart of the club .
whoch goes back to the very point of , if they won’t sell , and they won’t change , then we should just fold because what the actual god damn hell are we all doing following these people ?
Seriously Jirskyr , I don’t understand how you’re not enraged by the feeling of helplessness , which is what avo is expressing , that we all feel .
I'm not enraged because we've been here before and eventually things turn around. I don't think there's any chance that Wests Ashfield will sell, particularly because supporting footy is in the club's remit - I don't think they are going to, for example, sell off the Wests Tigers but keep happily funding the local junior districts. At best they might shuffle a few more deckchairs, as they have already done this season, but I don't think the club will ever give up an NRL licence.
Avo's comment is an extreme position, by definition. To sell the club and sack everyone currently managing the club - that's as far as you can go, apart from the other extreme of folding the club. I don't mean to be silly about it, but that is what extreme means, to take the furthest / highest / widest action. You literally cannot get any more extreme with your personnel than sacking everyone in an organisation.

I agree that they are not going to sell however if they did they would definitely continue to fund the junior leagues and clubs. They support a wide range of local sports and social groups and they highly value that role in the community. When promoting themselves at local events they never mention the Wests Tigers but always mention the support they give to the community through supporting these clubs.
For those opposing the petition, which I signed and support, what do they believe will happen to change the reputation and standing of the club among media, managers and future prospective players?
Although no media commentator (apart from the loathesome Alan Jones, apparently) will point the finger at the Board and CEO and Chair, most media commentary INFERS that that is exactly where the issues of the club lie -e.g.
"the fish rots from the top", "the real issues at WT lie way beyond the coach and players" are heard regularly.
I have no idea who should be given a chance to do a better job than the current Chair, CEO and Board - people smarter than me will work that out. But this current unaccountable bunch whose "leadership" and "governance" have guided the club to the point of widespread ridicule need to go. And, as soon as possible.
As it stands, the only 6 or 7 we have signed for 2024 is Douehi, who could possibly miss the entire Season. Does anyone think Brooks deciding to leave blindsided the Club, or they lowballed him with a view to signing others. I cannot figure this out.
Sorry if you guys have already discussed this.
@grovetiger I think the clubs coaching staff , had taken it for granted that brooks would resign , if offered a fair rate .
They then went to the board with a valuation and years , which would have been commensurate to the manly offer , as well as what the true value in brooks is .
The board/CEO/ Fulton (I personally believe the board) decided that valuation was incorrect, offered a new value and appraisal and now he will be playing for northern beach to finish out his career .
So were they blindsided by brooks ? I dunno , or were they undermined by the stooges on the board … well I dunno either . But it sure does look like the latter from what sheens has been saying in the media.
@jirskyr times like this require boldness. Who deserves to keep their job (in your opinion)?
Did you sign the petition?
I wouldn't know who deserves to keep their jobs or not - I haven't got any first-hand information to form an opinion.
No I have not signed the petition.
What in the following do you not agree with:
The signatories of this petition demand that the Wests Tigers organisation be subjected to a thorough external review, encompassing all aspects of the organisation.
This would include all aspects of governance, operational leadership, administration, day to day operations and football department operations/structures.
This petition will be shared with the senior management of Wests Tigers/Wests Ashfield.
@jirskyr so essentially your position is to take exception with others opinions whilst having no opinion of your own?
