Looks like he has his eyes on the 13 jersey.

That’s exactly where he should play. Said before we even signed him. He will sure-up the middle in defence as well as playing a link role in attack. 13 is the best position for him in our team. That’s where he’s needed most.

Positives:

  • Wants to play lock
  • Knows he has to get fitter
  • Has at least the attitude to be doing extra training in his break

Negatives

Fortunately the 13 is more of an effort position than a speed position because he was running terribly!

How do you see 2026 panning out for Jack?

Next off the bus? A year running around in NSW Cup? Occasional NRL duties? Or making a regular contribution to the NRL team?

Yet to sight him in any photos of pre season training.

I popped over to St Luke’s Oval today to watch the squad training & didn’t notice Jack there. I didn’t see Jock Madden either. I do know Jared Haywood wasn’t there because of illness so perhaps he wasn’t the only one.
