Is it just me or is David Klemmer our best prop this year? I liked what Stef was doing first 4 or so games but last couple there’s been a drop off. Not sure why but I wouldn’t be surprised if there might be other thoughts in his mind regarding his future. Only takes a small distraction at this level to see a player not perform at their best.

Yeah I thought Klemmer out played Stef. Stefano is not consistent enough, he won’t make the SOO squad unless there are massive injuries. He’s way down the pecking order for me.

I think the positive to take out of it is Klem is 31 this year & has played 160 more games than Stef, 8 more seasons pretty much. So the best of Stef is still to come although he may not become the $1 million dollar prop we’d like, he could still be very handy.

The thing with Stephano is I don’t see him as a leader of the pack. Until he can do that, he is in the long cue of highly overpaid wests tigers players.

The shift to review every single try rather than just those sent up was a disaster. Absolutely has gutted the game, you cannot ever celebrate a try, just nervously waiting for the “try confirmed” to come up on screen. You might be able to accept it if the review were flawless but a lot of the time it comes down to the bunkers opinion and they regularly get basic rulings of the game wrong. The ref was right there as Api scored and ruled try. It’s an absolute atrocity what the bunker has become. It’s pretty much he only thing that is wrong with the game. They should just allow the ref to refer tries and give the captain an extra video review each half if they want to challenge and just get the bunker out of the game.

Annesleys apology on Monday will (again) will make me feel better.

My one word - effort. We were hopelessly outclassed but a pre 2024 tigers team would have had their heads down and got smoked by 60

@tiger5150 I also think Latu was no good at hooker. If or when that happens again he should go to 7 and Sezer to 9 if we don't actually bite the bullet and start him at 7. What is there to lose at this stage?

There is a lot to lose actually. The last two weeks we played last years GF teams and we were always going to do it tough against them and neither of them pumped us. The next two weeks are critical for our season. Dogs and then Knights. Two games that we really need to win to set our season up. Now is not the time to throw caution to the wind. Now is the time to get back to what got us wins against Parra and Sharks and Sezer was a big part of that. prior to the Panthers game Sezer has been one of our best.

6.Galvin

7 Sezer

14 Latu - but give him a run in the halves

Yes, I think the next few games will tell us a lot more about the team than these past 2 games although I do like the way we fight for 80 mins. That’s the first habit this team needs to have before anything else. Grow that mental & physical toughness that sees them fight for 80 mins. The other parts will take more time considering where we are coming from & where we want to be plus having so many young, inexperienced players in our top 30.  If we can continue to fight for 80 mins then games against teams who are looking at that 7th & 8th spot this year are winnable. We might not win them all but we could win more than we lose. Playing the full 80 mins isn’t the only factor but it’s a big one & we seem to be doing ok.

It’s all about the 1% at this stage.
pushing up when you’re tired

not giving up on the play

fighting in every tackle

the little things that make the big things possible

I just think if the team continues to lose, it’s going to be very tough for Marshall to get this team up. Next 2 weeks will determine what our season will revolve into. Games against Titans and Rabbits will see if a threepeat is possible.

A couple of wins are definitely needed. Some winnable games coming up. If we keep doing the little things right the teams we’re playing will offer more opportunities

I am really enjoying Benji’s press conferences. I think he handles the questions very well indeed.

I thikn Klems role is undervalued. He is getting old and doesnt have the impact of bigger younger props but churns out metres and most times positions for good PTB speed. He is what Aaron Woods should have been/Tried to be/Thought he was.

Its encouraging that he seems to see the same things that the fans sees, and is willing to acknowledge them. This has been reflected in his selections as well.

The last 2 games the officials with there blind decisions took away any chance the boys had of building confidence in each of those games , whether they would have won the games or not is irrelevant . There has to be fair adjudication if not the NRL could be accused of bias .. these 2 decisions were outrageous and in doing so deflated the whole team when they should have had there confidence up . Richo needs to sought this out as this is recurring weekly !

100% agree. A couple of wins and we are ahead of last years tally with more than half the season left. We need to beat the bottom teams. Unfortunately the bottom teams all get up against us because they like to bully us

@tigertownsfs Actually the bottom teams are playing well , I think we will struggle to beat any of them going by the teams performances of late .. the Dogs will be way to good !

One thing I've noticed about Klem this year is he seems to be hitting a little harder in defence at times, good to see.

The Dogs have a very good left edge, the rest of the team are just doing their jobs. They’ve had wins against the Titans, a Roosters side that were complacent in that first half & had a player sent off after 26 mins & they beat the Knights who aren’t setting the world on fire. Yes, they also should’ve beaten the Storm but they didn’t. They’ve also lost to the Eels, Sharks & Souths so they’re doing well but certainly can be beaten. They’re not Penrith or the Broncos by any stretch.

At work today I saw a guy in a broncos jersey and asked him about the Api try… and he said straight out Try!!

Marshall nearly has to cop a 10K fine soon or it’s just gonna be the same shit different day scenario.

I do think he’ll have to sacrifice 10K soon to just remind the crap officiating that the tigers have been through.

I N V E S T I G A T I O N… has to be ‼️
