Agree with the idea of just throwing Latu/Luai together and letting it happen, but we need Latu to stay fit for that to happen.

Also concerned that neither really has an elite kicking game, especially in terms of long kicks.

Would be good to have a 13 who could kick long (AD)

I think we all probably agree that Doueihi is not an ideal long term halfback option.

Whether he is the right person for the job early 2026, and potentially longer this season, is what’s up for debate imo.

I’ve no doubt that AD can make a very good fist of the no.7.He proved that last year.To me he showed more maturity and played a more team oriented  selfless style. If he can maintain good lateral defence and further refines his kicking, along with his  venemous torpedo,I have every faith in his ability to prosper. The positive being we have legitimate depth in the halves. We haven’t had that. All the good sides have it in spades. My question is whether we have the legitimate depth in the forwards to lay the platform, not just on any given day,as I’m sure we have, but on a consistent level when injuries come knocking.Do we have the depth to maintain that platform? I hope there are a couple of entities ready to step up.

AD should be at lock

either Madden or latu fainu plays 7

Yes, except concerned about his defence in the middle.

I'll continue to support AD at half. He had some utterly magic games for us last year at half and continues be such a driver of passion and love for this club.

that parramatta game at Commbank when AD was at 7 he was diabolically bad and bereft of ideas.

We need hos goal kicking, he needs to be a hybrid 13 type of role

was Luai at 6 that game?

he sure was at 6

was one of AD's worst games

He is not the answer as long term 7, i think Madden or Latu Fainu or Jevon Andrews

As for AD being in the 17 somewhere, absolutely as a 13 type.of link role

Andrews has me fascinated, can’t wait to see what he brings/how it pans out.

@joel There is certainly some excitement around a few players added this season , there could be a few surprises going into this season .. it’s been a good few years since there has been so many new faces added  , you just never know who might step up only hope some do !

There is only so much hope a supporter can give imo. I have been the biggest supporter over the yrs…. But there’s only so much hope you can give. I think there’s none with this group.
Could be proved wrong … but I doubt that too.

nothing has changed my mind from previous seasons. Our playing roster isn’t that much improved from the last 10 years. IMO it comes down to how much the players want it. And 60-70% of current squad don’t really gaf. They are just glad to have a contract. Wests tigers = making up he numbers 🤷‍♂️

Until I’m proved wrong I hold the cards on my comments.

Latu is great and has a huge future but the guy hasn’t been able to string solid football together. He needs to work on playing regular minutes and until he can show he can get through a season we can’t build our halves combinations around him, it’s too disruptive
