If Seyfarth to Dogs and Aitasi James to Manly are true, it's hardly an endorsement by managers and players on WT in 2024 with Marshall and the ongoing rabble of Chair/CEO/Board. It's worrying, to say the least.Looks like Aitasi James to Manly.
Two poor teams trading players isn’t really going to help either of them. We need them to take our trash and sign players from else where. I can’t see either team playing finals at the moment with the squads they have
a fit tom turbo, DCE and Brooks replacing Jake Arthur they will make the semis in 2024

That requires both Tommy and Luke to remain fit for most of the season. I’m tipping them for tenth.

James is going to Manly on a second tier deal, and I'd be surprised if we offered Seyfarth a new deal (outside of a derisory min offer).
These are not major losses.
Let's save the worrying for when we lose players that we're actually trying to retain (which will happen soon enough anyway).

agree if they both go down they will miss 8 for sure.

Take half of the first choice spine out of any team and they are going to struggle. Its not mentioned anywhere but we literally had our reserve grade 1, 6 and 7 for a large chunk of the season. Without that we dont get the spoon.
Wasn’t it Phil Jackson or Alex Ferguson who said you have to turn over your roster to 10-20% every year for healthy regeneration ?
Pretty hard to say we have too many middles in our squad on one hand , and then turn over 2 at the back end of the squad depth and get upset .
There has to be churn. It’s healthy for the squad .
Especially if blore moves full time to the middle , Fainu starts his natural progression to a middle , and laulilli has a big offseason .
We are week on the edges actually. Blore isn’t an edge player defensively , so that leaves really Ice, Bateman , tumeth , fainu , maybe blore at a pinch , and hopefully AJ makes the move permanently.
I know there’s Mansfield , and maybe Galvin , but that’s a bit light on IMO.
The developing feud between the Tigers and Manly just went up a level.
The Sea Eagles have signed Aitasi James, a boom young lock who played five NRLgames for the Tigers last season.
A tough 22-year-old, James handled the elevation well in a team that struggled to win games and should appreciate playing in the strong Manly pack in 2024.
There has been little love lost between the clubs since recruitment guru Scott Fulton switched camps earlier this year and then the Tigers pinched Manly's promising Fainu brothers.
This latest incident will only add fuel to the fire.

There are others I would have let go before James. I think he could develop into a good one
