Lee on SEN today said they didn’t discuss with coaching staff as it was an addition to the staff that no was being moved on or pushed sideways.
I believe they didn’t want the hard discussions with Tim and as usual trying to smother now.should have been straight up to Tim and would be a non story
As if they didn’t have a chance to ring Sheens and say “hey, we’ve got Fulton on the hook as head of recruitment, what do you think?”. This is a move to take power away from Sheens and is the beginning of the end of his time here imo.

Not sure about his power, but rather on this matter his judgement is impaired.
I suspect that sheens would have blocked such an appointment to protect the role of his mate. Therefore it makes sense that they kept him out of the loop.
obviously, McDonnell performance has been underwhelming to others in the organisation, and as such a decision has been made to bring in reinforcements

and if Sheens says "No need mate, Macca is doing a great job"..? What do they do then? Let Macca keep doing a great job and tell Fulton no thanks?
@helmesy Sheens is really a head coach now anyway who is set to hand over to benji in 2025. The club probably don't need to co sult with sheens really, as Lee said they are not removing Warren they ate just putting him at pathways and Scott Fulton at NRL recruitment.

You might be on to something. I don’t think the board are happy with the spoon and the horror start this year.
Who knows? Sheens is head of Sheens Inc. which prioritises what Sheens wants (e.g. McDonnell appointment) over anything else. That's pretty much all we know.So, is Sheens still head of football?

Hey everyone, sorry for my long hiatus but a lot going on at the Cloudy Ponderosa. Seems to be a lot going on at the Wests Tigers Centre for Kids How Cant Play Good. Some real change on the horizon that opens up real possibilities and opportunities if we only believe really hard and I am not talking Schuster.
Lets recap a few things......
1. Scott Fulton signs as Recruitment Manager (Top 30 only) and starts immediately
2. There is a genuine time constraint on getting this deal done.
3. Warren McDonnell has previously been looking after all top 30 recruitment efforts on his own and they have been unsuccessful.
4. Mitchell Moses has not signed with Parramatta for 2024.

hopefully he has signed a Heads of Agreement....

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
There is a glaring issue that we do not have a GM of football at present because that person has become head coach and he is up to his eyeballs in that day job because he started 1-8.
The club is heading in the right direction but I don’t think we can sit on our hands for another 18months until sheens returns to the role (he’ll be mid 70s by then), we need to keep moving forward. I presume Fulton will have a broader mandate than just top 30 and if this Fulton guy is good then I’m all for it. Sheens has openly talked about going to the UK to retire at some point, the guy is 72 years old!
I believe it would have been better to be up front with sheens at the start and explain why this role needed to be changed and if he doesn’t like it point out the dreadful start to the season and the HASTINGS error that has ruled us out of finals football for this year!
