I know this is off-topic, but surely we could arrange a roster of members/fans to turn up each day outside Wests Ashfield and Concord with signs/placards demanding the removal of Board, CEO and Chair? Or arrange for that to happen at WT home games?
I would volunteer my time to be there and contribute to costs for signs/placards to be developed. Nothing "unlawful" but clearly focusing on the negligence/incompetence of Board, CEO and Chair in their governance and role in the demise of the standing of WT as a reputable NRL club.
If a moron like Trump can incite a riot on US democracy, surely we can do this for our NRL club?
Β Remember that try he scored on the right corner a couple of games ago. When he caught the ball, you could see a sudden change up in speed which resulted in him easily scoring. The thing that he has over Daino is he's in the game where Daino seems to go missing.Would like to see him in space to witness his Ferrariesque speed that I keep hearing about
Regardless of who gets the gig, I don't think they edge out Bula.
The big thing this team needs atm is stability. Find a side that's capable of winning and stick to it. Build combo and team cohesion.
We saw that against Manly and now we have another injury. 😭
Β
As much as people want Brooks gone, he is actually a tough little fella and tackles pretty good. You take out Brooks and insert Townsend then someone is going to have to pick up the slack as Chad isn't as good at D...is he?Townsend can bring the experience and organising and a young fella with some x-factor can play eyes up.
Β
Yes no doubt Brooks is a good defender now, and with our past forward packs it was certainly valuable, but with our current pack it's not so important - which is one of the aspects that got me thinking about this. Against Manly (leaving Koroisau aside for now) our entire pack including reserves missed just 6 tackles. (Api missed 7 which is not good.)
Considering our lack of attack, we must now look to play a 7 that can create and organise as a priority, not because he is a tackling machine!
(Just checked last round and Townsend's defensive stats at least as good Brooks, but his kicking game... no contest there, Townsend kicked more/further than our 7 and 6 combined).
Β
Oh dearβ¦ he was doing so well. Hereβs hoping to a speedy recovery.ΒPoor Charlie Staines has a perforated bowel out for 8- 12 weeksΒ
Β
Kenty and Ricky are up in arms saying the NRL need to investigate how Wighton has signed with Souths on a considerable amount less that what Raiders offered.
If it's say 1m less over 4yrs, TPA's can't make up that amount as there is a limit isn't there??. If it can't then the paper trail must be transparent otherwise it's a rort.
Jack says he want to win a premiership. This could be his last contract and traditionally players go for the greater dollar...giving up a mil+ seems off the mark.
Wighton wants to win a comp and be happy in his team environment and that's entirely a choice he can make. He can't be called out on that. They will sign him as a centre, he'll get decent coin for that position and this 'enquiry' will go nowhere.
Yep gotcha. If we had a gun Β½ in KOE chopping at the bit I'd say yes lets do it, mid year swap even. But I don't think we have do we? Kade Hill?Β Laurie is being tested at training as we speak (my chillblanes are telling me)Townsend kicked more/further than our 7 and 6 combined).
Ideally we need a 23yr old who is a genuine half with top grade experience to be here for 4yrs.
Untill we sort this mess out no marquee players are coming to this joint.

Oh please β¦. give me a break! Sorry but β¦.. @lestronge honestly mate I think weβre kind of on the same page. I think a couple of half decent halves and weβre top 8 for sure.
Another typically pointless article from Fox but it does make me think. If Raiders are cashed up and looking to purchase, its going to make life difficult for us to attract talent and surely reduces the odds taht Raiders will sign Brooks?

Could do that.............or......
Someone could organise a collection of Tigers fans somewhere, lets say in a beerhouse, and ask them to express their views, concerns and recommendations in a structured, positive and respectful way. Those views and recommendations could be collected and stored in some form of digital audio media and then go directly to the CEO of the club and give that digital audio media (lets call it a podcast) for the review and consideration of the CEO and the board.
Β
I wonder which of those two strategies is most likely to end up with the board or management actually listening to the fans concerns?
Β
@tiger5150 mate , we just need halves ! The team is there . We have gun back rowers in Matamua, and Tumeth coming through , gun props right now and in the future Β , the next Robbie Farah , and our franchise player apparently in Large ( seems like crazy pressure to me but hey whatever) . Chuck in guys like Peni , and that kid we got from manly . Theyβve decided screw it with Bula .Β
We desperately need halves.

@avocadoontoast yea . Β I feel like the play where brooks comes on the inside and is bursting onto the ball for the game winner is basically his whole career in one nutshell. Heβs talented enough to be there when no one else was , but not clutch enough to catch it and run away with it . Almost is just not enough , even though Iβve personally always had a lot of time for him because he is always there trying to affect the outcome of the game .Β
Like last year , I canβt remember who against , but the whole team were bludging Β after the opposition made a break down the right side . Luke comes flying from the left to get to the ball , slides in and bobbles the ball / or misses it , they go into score .Β
I couldnβt believe how much guts it took to put his head where most wouldnβt put their legs , but the problem is that we were screaming for him to be the type of Thurston/ Lockyer type , who did those things , but came away with the ball .Β
Man I think thatβs what most Β of the nrl, sheens and most coaches see . They see the 99%. But that 1% is where games are won and lost . And how many times has he just been missing for that 1%. Itβs soo frustrating , because that canβt be taught unfortunately . No amount of training in that situation will ever definitely determine the ice water in someoneβs veins .Β
I guess he will go well in a team where those types of moments wonβt determine whether a win or not .
