@tigerlily very happy with this. A creative 13 is so important in the modern game and it’s great to see a local junior succeed at the club. Really hope he does well because not too many from the Magpies have in recent seasons.
Fingers crossed that he and Brandon Tumeth (hopefully we extend his contract as well) turn into something special for us.
How can you not be excited for the future of WestsTigers with the plethora of potential Jnrs we have at this club at the moment.
We need to get some of these juniors fit and firing this year to add to our 2023 recruitment.

Really rate Pole as a player. Went from SG ball to Flegg to NSW cup in the space of a season. I was also told told that the club expects Pole to make his fist grade debut in 2022 towards the end of the season but this might have changed since Sheens has taken over.
Fantastic re-signing by the Wt, from what I’ve read and heard on Pole he looks to be a future talent. Hopefully Tumeth will also extend.
What type of prop is Pole?
Is he a workhorse, impact etc??
@canberratiger More of an impact Prop I would say.

Im excited by Pole, the exact type of player we need in the top squad.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
This is good ..the focus on junior pathways is obviously now the major strategy .. The announcements of Matamua and now Pole exemplify that..

Thanks mate! I am very excited about the young guys coming through.
I am still very concerned about the lack of leadership and experience though. We seem to have a few really good young players but we need a few old heads to show them how it is done.
The problem is when you bring in the older guy, they can block the pathway of a young gun.
This is good. Looking forward to seeing whether these young blokes make the step up to first grade.
What sort of minutes was Pole playing last season ??
So Api and Papali for 2023 with Luciano and Tuilagi to exit.
You’d think Tamou and Roberts will go too, maybe Liddle as well?
Where do you guys reckon we should be looking to focus recruitment now for next year? Or should we be giving priority to the best youngsters coming through?

2nd row and centre I would think..
Club is confident the young guys in development will step up in the back row..probably why Tuilagi was let go.. time will tell if that is the right decision
@helmesy I think it's easier to say what positions we're ok in, which is Fullback and Hooker. I'm also happy with AD at 6. We have one great front rower in Stef, an excellent back rower in Papali'i but outside of that I don't think you could say we're very strong anywhere. Twal is ok too.
How are we looking with our cap for 23 with API AND PAPPELI signed, hopefully we have a bit of cash, any one heard how it is looking?
interesting comments from Matthew Johns on SEN radio this morning in relation to Brooks
Apparently Newcastle were absolutely certain they had Brooks signed and sealed to replace Pearce, then Brooks had discussions with Sheens and stayed with Tigers.
Johns was of the opinion Madge would likely not be coaching us in 2023
