I reckon next weeks team will be something like
1. Daine Laurie
2. Charlie Staines
3. Adam Doueihi
4. Brent Naden
5. Junior Tupou6. Luke Brooks
7. Brendan Wakeham8. David Klemmer
9. Api Koroisau
10. Stefano Utoikamanu
11. John Bateman
12. Isiah Papalli
13. Fonua Pole14. Kepoa
15. Joe Ofahengaue
16. Alex Twal
17. Sean Blore
they should upgrade Bula immediately and have him fullback. Laurie 6, Wakeham 7. Also Kepaoa is a far better centre than AD imo.
The team will be far more likely to win without Brooks and AD.

Ive never actually seen Laurie do anything that suggests he is a half. Id be just as nervous with him at 6 than Brooks. Better the devil you dont know I guess?

The only reason I’ve put Laurie there is because he’s the last man available. I can’t imagine a situation where he could be worse than Brooks. I’d be happy for him to just do nothing at all and leave everything to Bateman and Api. The only two times we scored on the weekend were in sets where Brooks never touched the ball.
Disgusted that supporters will go this length to disparage the guy. Everyone knows already he’s struggling in a struggling team. Everyone already knows he’s in poor form, playing without confidence etc. To show a highlight (lowlight) reel is pathetic. If he makes them so angry and frustrated here’s an idea, don’t watch the game until he’s not there. Christ almighty, the guy has a family. Makes you wonder if the shoe was on the other foot how they’d feel about this type of thing which goes on way too much.

Who are the right people they want this video to find? Everyone saw it, it was broadcast live. Pascoe was even sitting on the sideline.
I see your point but I also understand the fans frustration. Going to the footy isn’t cheap, and a lot of people out there save their pennies so they can treat themselves and their family to a day at the footy. After 12 years of no finals, frustration boils over.
When you’re the highest paid player at the club, and one of the highest paid players in the game, earning over $1m a year, scrutiny is higher - it comes with the territory. He wouldn’t have this sort of pressure or scrutiny if he was on less money. No one made him sign the contract.
WT are not a charity, and if he wants the criticism to stop he needs to either work on his game, or leave. He’s been terrible now for 5 seasons.
Him and his family are set for life due to WT. I find it very hard to feel sorry for him.
@avo I dont think your POV and Russ' POV are mutually exclusive. I was at all our home games this year and I was devastated, sitting there with my daughter and we were both completed distraught with the team, the situation of the club and Brooks as a player. Shaking my head, bitching about it between my daughter and I and friends. Seriously considered whether I want to keep coming back, pouring my money into the club etc. Ive reached the point where I see no future for Luke Brooks at our club. At no stage did I consider personally abusing Luke Brooks as an individual.
That lowlife reel that that Lukeant bloke put together (multiple videos) would have taken hours to put together and then upload to all the socials. Literally hours. Think about it, Lukeant is sitting there at his computer for 2-3 hours editing videos to denigrate Luke Brooks and make him look bad. Why? To help Luke work on his game? To help Sheens select next weeks team? Or do you think it might be for the likes and validation that Lukeant gets from "followers" on socials? Lukeant is effectively using humiliation of another human being for his own gratification and that is disgusting.
I HATE that Luke Brooks completely ruined our attack every time he touched the ball. I HATE the fact that we seem to have formed a very useful squad that has the capaxcity to push for the 8 but is completely hamstrung by a complete lack of quality halves. I gaurantee that if I sat down for a beer with Luke Brooks and considered what work and effort he has put in for his career, and compared it to what Lukeant has achieved I'd respect Luke Brooks a lot more.
don’t get me wrong I’m not in any way endorsing the guy doing the video, I was more just pointing out that I understand why fans are annoyed. For the record I’ve never yelled abuse at any WT player and never will.
Daejarn Asi might be an option for WT to look at.
Currently playing centre in NSW Cup for Parramatta. Joined them on a two year contract after stints at the Cowboys & Warriors where he never got a game.
We need to look outside of the current squad. Picking Brooks etc next week 'because we dont have any other options' wont cut it for me.
Player swaps can and should be looked at also.
@avocadoontoast would like to see Bula have a run
Well I differ atad, but i’d have Staines at 1 Doueihi at 6 Wakeham at 7 Bateman at 13 Blore at 12 To’a at 5. I’d have Brooks at 14 cause I know how Tim rolls. Ofhengaue and Matamua to come on benchI reckon next weeks team will be something like

Unfortunately this is the way many people vent their frustrations, by getting aggressive and going to absolutes, and social media gives them a platform to both vent and to find like-minded persons.
It's the same as half the nonsense that goes on at the other forums, particularly what I see to be younger people (I'm 43) who find validation in calling people out, i.e. playing the man not the ball.
So I agree, to sit at your computer and waste hours putting together a non-constructive video of errors, it's either a stunt for the purposes of notoriety / gaining a social media following, or it's true sickness, to sit there and burn and focus that negative energy on a pointless project, as if everyone didn't already see for themselves that Brooks didn't play well, as if nobody knows the guy is under immense pressure.
This will be my final post here as I find I’m not getting all that much enjoyment out of the forum as I had hoped. I’m 60 years old now and at this stage I just want as much positivity around me as I can get. I’ve noticed for some time now that the socials can very quickly turn into something akin to a modern day version of a lynch mob and it’s a little scary to be honest. I fear it could one day culminate in something terrible happening and I want no part in that. There’s some good stuff but just seems to be an increase in rumour mongering, judging, criticising and placing blame. And it’s not just in relation to sport, it’s pretty much everywhere and it can sometimes border on hysteria. Anyway, as I’ve mentioned before I love footy for many reasons especially as it gives me a way of to distance myself from all that I don’t like in the world and I had hoped by participating in this kind of forum it would continue to help me do that to an even greater degree but it hasn’t. Now I know that all I really want to do I is enjoy a game of footy and meet good people so I’ll continue to do what I love most, attend games and the occasional Ambush event and, of course, I’ll give the poddies a listen. I’ve just bought myself a record player too so I will spend a bit more time buying and listening to some oldies which will be good. Anyway, nothing personal, just a decision I’ve thought about for a while now. So all the best to you forum folk, hopefully a turn in fortunes is not too far away for the team. See you at the footy. Tigers!!!!
This forum is much more positive then the other forum mate, that's why I joined. A win here and there, maybe a decent signing in the halves and this forum in particular will be a great place to be.
Maybe have a break, and once we turn a little corner I hope to see you back here.
Take care.
@tiger5150 Well expressed 5150.There’s no doubt that you have to have the hide of an armadillo to take the barrage of crap that will inevitably be directed at you. It’s Rugby League after all,and it’s always been that way.The difference is Social Media is a relatively recent phenomenon and anyone can weigh in all guns blazing from the safety of his/her keyboard and potentially create a viral moment.Once upon a time it would be on the back page,or on the odd TV or radio bite. Now it is utterly relentless and the target is the jugular.
I look at the way Brooksy is playing and it would seem he’s a broken entity.I seriously wonder if it all has finally permeated his thick skin. The poor guy just seems bereft of simple decision making. The harder he tries the worse it becomes.God knows the outcome here. It’s so hard to watch. He’s contracted so he has to play,as there doesn’t seem any readily feasible or practical solution. Here’s where the great coaches step in.I wonder.
I know this is a virtually pointless consideration but I will for the life of me never understand why we let Jacko Hastings go.He and Brooks had a limited time together but no doubt there was a synergy at work.Hastings to me is the style of entity we’re sorely missing. He doesn’t panic, and if he does cock up,he discards the moment as if it never existed and gets on with it.Unfortunately that is missing now.I don’t know what went on behind the scenes, and there seems to be conflicting narratives, but to allow him out of the place just seemed an act of madness which is playing out drastically now.
@avocadoontoast I don’t understand how money plays a factor at all into feeling sorry for him . He tries his guts out . He really does .
If he was Adam Blair and having a holiday on the edge , I’d totally get it .
He’s just been ruined , by his play , the amount of noise in his head , from previous coach bullshit , to @brooks_sux “your shit brooks , kill yourself!!” , constantly hitting is socials .
Just because you’re reasonable in your criticism , doesn’t mean a lot of people arnt .
For example Rob Bechara! I listened to his podcast and switched it off , because when asked about how bad AD was , he abused brooks for 5 mins .
There’s too many factions in this club and a big one , IMO, which makes a lot of noise , is the Lebanese/ethnic
tigers community.
A big part of their drive to get rid of him is to replace him with one of their own .
So the endless abuse in socials , including the other forum , is driven by this community .
To be fair , Brooks needs to be dropped . It just isn’t working . But AD should be about as close to wearing a halves jumper again as I am to a winning the 100m Olympic final !
He’s good at running . So run the ball at your edge . Come in for some off the cuff stuff ala John Bateman . Use your should when you tackle , and become the origin player we all want you to be . But not in the halves .
Brooks mate , bight the bullet , take a 3-4 year deal with Leeds/ Catalans for 300k pounds , live your life.
We will take Auden Sezer for the rest of the year , put Bula at the back , Wakeham/ Laurie in the halves , and let’s do this !
We replaced our pack this year , let’s replace our backs for next year .
Because the pack works . It’s a good one. So the coaches know who to pick .
And brooks isn’t a cat , he’s not a dog , he’s not shit even . He’s just a square peg in a round hole here . And has been for 4 years . And that’s ok .
AD is a horrendous defensive player . Which is borderline embarrassing for a dude his size . And really that’s all on him . He hasn’t put the work in . He can say he has , but when he’s coming across , and it’s time to belt a bloke , he cocks his arm and looks to shoulder charge .
He should be wrecking blokes . To me he doesn’t trust his size .
anyways rant over .
I don't care if he never runs out for us again, it doesn't matter if he is on 2 million a year, he is not working out and should be punted right now, if he gets a contract extension Sheens needs to be fired, and if Benji signs off on it, he can go to@helmesy I reckon they already have too, announcement after parramatta game
no chance in the world. I don’t think he’ll even play next year. I think his career is finished.
@851 agree mate .As you know I’ve been a brooks advocate for a long time . But it’s not working , his mates not coming , and our forwards are bloody good .
It sux , but I think l he would win the Man of steel in England . He’s tough as nails , skilled , and his game would suit the , lack of needing pure precision all the time , that the nrl needs to attack .
hes 28/29 he’s not a kid either . It’s time to move on .
There were plenty you and me included, who said in the preseason when Newcastle wanted Brooks, it wouldn't matter if we had the Australian pack, Brooks still wouldn't cut it, just let him go, but there were his few fans who protested we would see the real Luke Brooks this year. Well I have seen enough, he needs to go now, never play first grade again, he is killing our team

A performance for the ages
The problem is, he is never not there, so people vent like this, me I have no issue with it, he plays for good money every week, he is open for this criticismDisgusted that supporters will go this length to disparage the guy.
