With respect to the Nofa article, I’m thinking he speaks the truth. Nofa definitely had checked out, it was clear and so too Liddle and probably half the team. I put it down to Madge’s coaching. Madge, although a good coach couldn’t adapt his coaching to suit his cattle. The five hitup then bomb was not working yet he persisted. I think this year with the new coaches a few players will surprise us with their footballing talent.

Would be happy to see the shackles come off for sure, I don’t know if Nofa’s attitude can entirely be put down to that though.

I think it’s his attitude helmesy I remember him saying in an T.V interview before he re-signed that he didn’t want to check out and become complacent/comfortable like he had done 6mths into his previous contract and not put in 100% effort every week both with training and on field performances.

This is the 2nd interview with Noffa where he has pulled this crap. He needs his head pulled in big time.

It felt like a promotion?? Maybe one that was thoroughly undeserved!

Had to read it after Avo’s comment and agree with both of you. He was gifted a shot at playing finals he didn’t earn it. My understanding is the club sent him done there to learn some professionalism seems to have had the opposite affect.

His fast become one of the most disliked WTs players from a fans point of view with his stupidity.

must admit he was one of my favourites but now I wouldn’t be fussed if he left.

yeah it’s sad because he is/was a one club junior who has provided some quality moments through the years, so you think he would be a fan fave. I think ppl started turning on him a couple of years ago when he was expecting a nsw call up (never going to happen with his defensive lapses) and developed a more pronounced strut and carry on after scoring. The fact he signed a ridiculous contract extension wasn’t his fault, but it coincided with his attitude change and didn’t help things. Hoping he is legit in his article and knuckles down this year to show some heart again.

Noffa believes he is SOO player and the Wests Tigers were holding him back. Says a lot about how out of touch with reality he really is. Hopefully Sheens & Benji can set him straight and get the best out of him.

I haven’t seen the Noffa article but in his defence he is still a specialist winger and and of representative quality.Surely the slate is clean for 2023 and people should not be dwelling on the bygones coming from our historical lowest ebb.Too many negatives there to be singling out this player.

Im sure Noffa is under no allusions as to what’s required of him as Sheens has stated of every player in the roster and I’m equally as sure Noffa is well aware of the hot competition vying for his position. For mine, while David is not the most skilful communicator he is a top line winger and enriches our team with his experience and  finishing power.Ask Bellamy?

From the pics he’s looking super trim and an asset to the squad.

He has the potential to be a top class winger however when you look at his attitude especially publicly blaming others for defensive lapses it indicates he isn’t able to self reflect effectively to improve his game. He’s got a bit of big fish little pond about him.

Nofo is a very good winger when at his best. The problem is, his best days are few and far between and that's largely down to what's between the ears. He's capable of finishing well, doing the tough carries, and really starting our sets well. The defence is an issue, but largely comes back to attitude.

If he's switched on and motivated, he's a real asset. If he's not, the contract is an eyesore.

Teddy23 on the WTF might have the good oil…

For what it’s worth the same source I’ve been posting on here about who works in membership - who up until now has been pretty spot on for those who can remember

He reckons it’s happening.... not 1000% but the whispers around the club is he’s coming back but just nothing signed as of yet - however that’s expected to change in the coming days

Apparently around 6-8 members of the squad have been in contact talks with Moses including Brooks and Ice (the main two)

The word around town is we’re offering around 200-300k more a season over a longer period - Moses went back to Parra to increase there offer and as it stands they haven’t budged

Also.... Parra have quietly been talking internally that if Moses did leave they want Stefano for 2023 and they’ll let him go

For what it’s worth both Benji and Sheens are scoffing at that idea and are happy to wait for 2024

Hows the audacity of Parra as if we would in a million years give them one our up and coming forwards. Keep Moses for 2023 thank you very much.

Will leave the Moses speculation alone. If he comes, I will love him. If he doesnt, I will keep on hating him.

Nofa is an interesting one. Watching him for the Storm I was amazed at how ordinary he was. He did okay. Finished a few good tries but he was nothing special at all.

I remember thinking if thats all he can do in the best drilled side in the game, then he probably will never improve us.

If he was on an average winger contract, I wouldnt mind. But, given the money he is on, he should be a star.

Dont mind his comments - thats Nofa for you. He have never been the sharpest tool in the shed

Good observation. I too thought he was quite ordinary at the Storm. I was expecting some real aggression and power running but only saw average play and a few unforced errors.
