@tigersteve Because the club has made the decision to back Brooks over Hastings and some people have the opinion that it was the wrong call hence the link between the two is a topic of conversation.
@lestronge Hastings does seem a bit fake and not towing the line in some respects. However if Sheens thought he could be the second coming at 7 then he would have released Brooks to Newcastle and played Hastings at 7. Hastings is too slow for 7 backed up by Sheens opinion to release him.

As far as weidler goes he is as bad as rothfield Hooper Read and the like they basically just make stuff up
@declan Sheens came out when Hastings was signed and said he was signed as a 13 then injuries hit and he was used as a 7.
If losing Hastings gets a restructured Brooks contract spread over a few years and frees up some money to get Moses for 2023 or someone else for 2023 and Moses for 2024,then it is a big positive for the club to lose Hastings.

In relation to Brooksif he does restructure his deal like Lawrence had done in the past and that allows tigers to get his mate Moses then great, good riddance to Jackson.
Don't see Moses queuing up to play with Hastings, however I think he might like to play in the halves with his mate Brooks

According to Rothfield at least one player is unhappy at the way Hastings was shown the door, who knows if that’s true or not.
Also if Moses does come to the Tigers it will have nothing to do with his “mate” Brooks and everything to do with the semi-trailer full of cash we’ll be giving him.
I actually believe a Moses/Douehi combo would have far more upside and they would complement each other’s skill sets.
@celtic_tiger According to Rothfield Brooks was going to Newcastle and his salary ranged from 900k to 1.3 million .... Don't think Phil has much clue tbh in relation to who is happy or unhappy with Hastings, fairytale stuff...
As for Douhie he may not even be at the club in 2024 so wait and see with him. Dont think Sheens or Marshall agrees with you that he is the number 6 of choice at the club in 2024.
