I'm a fan of Jerome and will continue to support him at the club, but I am really happy that this opens up the pathway for Latu. After watching the positive impact that Hayward made to the team last night, I think we are shaping up well for the future.
And I've always thought this, even more so now, that AD needs to also make way. Andrews is also a super talent and together with the other two youngsters will bring plenty of creativity to the halves.
Where to for AD? Well, I really don't think there is anything he does well at #7 can't also be done at #13 but whether he is willing to do so may well be another story.
Edit: With Star doing his groin, AD should move straight the centre, Latu and Luai in halves.
But we all know it will be more like Turuva to centre and Tavana/Tupou to wing...
Signed for 5 years on big money and 18 months into the deal, it comes to an end. But a chance to move on from a situation that wasn't working. Hopefully its a positive move for Luai and the Tigers.
In hindsight I wish we could have moved him on before June 30 this year. Our season was over before the dragons game. It would have given us even more room to front load these new contracts we are signing.
watching how our front row got smashed by the warriors last night we should be going hard for Leota.
@tigertownsfs front rowers halfback and a miracle is what’s needed

Just one dynamic front rower needed.

Off topic a bit, but, hell, 2027 is looking bleak at the moment. Are there any other Haywoods coming through the juniors?? Any forwards with ability? Maybe a classy centre prospect? Apart from Averillo, is there any other signing I've missed?

Haywood, Latu, Andrew’s, Tupou, Makasini are the most likely to improve quickly and contribute in my view.
Avarillo is a first grader already so that is an upgrade on Toa.
outside of that we really just need to keep the squad more healthy and on the field.
it’s our forwards where we are lacking a quality front rower with impact in my view. May is great in that he makes his tackles, offloads and plays his role but he can’t skittle a defensive line to setup a quick lay the ball and front foot offence that is needed in the redzone

@joel The forwards are the issue I would let May walk in a heart beat …. the team needs at least 2 apex forwards if this doesn’t happen the team will be playing for the spoon next season !
@tigertownsfs Agree on the young talent coming through but have to be careful not to burn them out , a juggling act this one ..
Tyrell needs to go back to the bench where he started out at the crooks. This starting week on week he’s become one dimensional. I’d be starting with Twal Pole/ Sione pairing.May is great in that he makes his tackles, offloads and plays his role but he can’t skittle a defensive line to setup a quick lay the ball and front foot offence that is needed in the redzone
