I was pretty sad to see Tupou leave. Yes he has a mistake or two in him like many kids. But he certainly can be a weapon and his return is good timing considering our injury list for the backs.
My hope is that as he is maturing so will his play, won't be the first time that that clubs pay big money but are not patient enough. Benji should be good for his confidence.
I'm really surprised that he isn't somewhere in the NRL squad this week.

It's pretty clear that WST need to go shopping for some impact and depth players this off season but I am concerned about where these players will come from. So many experienced nrl players coming off contract appear to be choosing to go to Super League and with 2 new teams also trying to build their rosters there just won't be enough talent to go around. Those that are left will be able to demand overs because of the competition between clubs, not because they are top quality but because there's nothing else out there.
The NRL will become less of a showcase and more of a watered down spectacle over the next few seasons.
well done scoop 😆but it either he or LatuLuai given permission to find a new home for 2027. As predicted by me 😂
Well @joel-helmes of all the things to be right about, this one is a doozy. Not sure how this enhances anyone's standing. He will look like a quitter, we will look like a loser team who can't appreciate or hang onto a star player. Do we really think that we have gotten everything from him that was anticipated or expected? What does this situation do for the rest of our 2026 campaign (albeit shaky at best)? I hate the idea of paying for someone to leave and play for another team.
I have plenty of questions but obviously no real answers. Anyone?
Didn’t see this coming. Would love to know if WT are driving the agenda or Jerome’s crew.
There is always something happening at the Tigers.
Luai isn't part of the future and we need to invest in those players who will be.
My guess is this is part of the negotiations around extending Latu and Sam. They were both on pretty good deals already so the marginal incremental cost would be manageable but if I was Latus manager I would want to know what the clubs development plan looked like and another year behind douhie and Luai would be an issue. At some point we need to pick our half to partner Douhie and stick to it.
I dint wabt ro lose Andrew's
he will be a star predicting a better halves player than Latu

Looks like the Eels might take him, and at a reported $900,000. That’s a deal too good to be true!

Maybe that will also leave enough to entice Moses Leota. We can't just be off loading Luai to keep our current roster without somehow making moves to add to and improve it.
@joel Well done ! I did not predict it but did post this had to happen ….Laui gave the Tigers a sugar hit now is poison moving forward .Just when I thought the Tigers had no idea moving forward they step in and negotiated this winning move. Now it’s time to use what is already available. Laui’s credibility is shot he might be able to buy larger bling but as a person you could rely on that’s in the garbage ,a big ego will only take you so far ….when the going got tough Laui melted like a fresh crap in the Nullarbor!

Leota is what we need.
