He has played for the Brisbane tigers  and a few NSW cup sides.

Good luck to Justin. It didn’t work out at the Tigers but he has an opportunity now to maybe make something of his career. Whatever the case may be guys like him can still try to make it here or in the UK. Probably his last chance here.

Exactly. There is a football player in there, hopefully for his sake he makes the most of it.

I find players like Matamua hard to understand. I can't recall too many players we have actually cut because of poor performance that have gone on and killed it at another club. He was given many chances to stake his claim at the tigers and was not able to do so. Will be interesting to see if he can make it at the dogs. If he could not stand out in our crappy side of the last 3 years, where we are desperate for a 13, not sure how he will do so elsewhere.

Yeah, probably fair point. We’ll see how it pans out for him.

Fair enough in not fancying his chances elsewhere, but that assumes that WT systems are equivalent to Bulldogs systems.

Don't forget Galvin left (allegedly) because he didn't think he could develop to his potential at WT and that can only be down to systems and personnel.

Cannot wait to watch the Dogs come back to earth next year as the media make out they are a top 3 clubs and in a premiership window.

They had the easiest draw last year and got some favourable calls to win some games. When the real games started, they were back down the pack like most clubs. They don't have a great spine, and IMO Galvin will be at a different club within 2 years. He is not a structured player and will be shown up.

There recruitment is out of whack and would not mind seeing us grab Curren from them.

Yeah I tend to agree. They will be competitive but I think they’re short on big game class (much like Cronulla).
