Sure to attract some interest and wouldn't surprise me if the highest bidder pays more than he's currently on.
Does anyone know if the noise around the Lauililis potentiialy leaving are true or false off-season storytelling.
cheers
Would be a good move for the club to tell the lualilii they are better off elsewhere. We need mid career middles and we are stacked for outside backs.

no loss if we lose both of them

Yep, happy to move them on to get what we need in their place.

I have heard this rumour but I prefer not to believe it. I can’t understand why they would be moved on. If I’m not wrong Kit at 20 years old was the youngest of our middles in Cup this year & he had some very good games. He’s a bit inconsistent but that’s not unusual given our Cup team’s form & changes to the squad every year. Kit has very good leg speed & that’s not all that common amongst middles, he could really develop into a fine impact middle imo. Luke is still only 19 and played only 16 games on the wing during which he’s had some concussion issues. He has still showed enough to think he could continue to develop into a handy winger. He played fullback mostly in Matts & Ball so obviously needs time to mature into the wing position. I doubt both would be on much more than minimum so there’s not a lot to gain financially by releasing them. I think 2026 is a big year for both, particularly Kit, and given a stronger Cup squad (I hope) it should be a great opportunity for them to have their best season yet which is only good for the club and them.Does anyone know if the noise around the Lauililis potentiialy leaving are true or false off-season storytelling.

I think Christian Tapau-Moors played one or two games of Cup at the back end of the season so he would’ve been the youngest but Kit obviously played the full season.
at the right price Id take Kamikamica. Has hit the line harder than Stef in the GF so far.
yup sign him up … fits the bill for this mob.at the right price Id take Kamikamica. Has hit the line harder than Stef in the GF so far.
@russtutty63 sorry mate I respectfully disagree.
Talented players but Kit in particular is not up to it. He may have improvement in him but he’s nowhere near big enough for first grade.
Luke is now behind Makasini and May for the foreseeable.
If we could replace the brothers with 2x NRL players with 100+ games each, then suddenly the rest of the squad is looking over their shoulder.
It would depend upon who those two 100+ games players would be and them wanting to join an unsuccessful club, who might be improving, for approximately $200,000 a season. I’d suggest very, very few around. I’d think you’d also have to look at what value they’d provide in 2-3 years in comparison to the value Luke & Kit might. I listened to Frank Ponissi a few weeks ago and he spoke of the Storm’s recruitment programme saying they were always looking not simply at next year but the year after that, it’s one reason they will be patient with developing players although success obviously helps as well. Working with the Cap & around the form of players, the growth of players etc is also a variable hard to determine. We can disagree on what we think the club should do but the answer is rarely as simple as we think.@russtutty63 sorry mate I respectfully disagree.

Tedesco (Dally M) and Walsh (Clive Churchill medal) show the impact and value of a classy fullback in modern rugby league.
Bula is classy with the potential to be great with a stronger squad around him. He MUST be retained. Whatever it costs.
Yes, I was having a conversation with a friend a few weeks back about the importance of a top class fullback. I think a fullback is probably 3rd priority to a game managing 7 and a 9. But your best player could be any of those 3. I’ve almost come to the belief now that a fullback and 9 are of equal priority, just behind the 7 especially due to the increased speed of the game.Tedesco (Dally M) and Walsh (Clive Churchill medal) show the impact and value of a classy fullback in modern rugby league.

Yes!
Agree with this. Imagine Cronulla if they had a better fullback or 7 with real x-factor. They would instantly be contenders.Yes, I was having a conversation with a friend a few weeks back about the importance of a top class fullback. We need to keep Bula, I don't want us to have to settle for a Kennedy type quality fullback, we just go backwards.
