It’s a little strange, I feel, how we tend to focus more on Richo when it comes to recruitment yet he has said he only does what Benji wants. I’m sure the recruitment team, including Benji & Richo, all have input. If Benji feels he needs a right edge backrower the team will source who is available and Benji will decide. Maybe Benji does receive credit for some of the signings (Luai etc) but sometimes it’s Richo who is focused upon for recruiting.

@russtutty63 my focus on Richo is more about getting the deal done and perhaps giving Benji some ideas on who or who may not be available, I assume that Benji is the one that decides on the position and person.

Well deserved, he has been playing well. And he is more versatile than I expected.

Daily Telegraph says we’ve given TDS permission to negotiate with other clubs.

Looks like he’ll be departing.

a sad outcome for all involved but thankfully we have Api still close to his best and some more youth coming through.

We’d be crazy not to go ahead with that!

Is he the last of the juniors who was touted to be our saviour group?

We just don't hold on to them anymore! We are a development club for other clubs. I don't like this at all. Getting KPP 6 months early to lose TDS 18 months early doesn't sit well with me

It’s the kids, their managers and their families that are taking advantage of the club. We need to cut these cancers out. Team First. The club moves on

I wonder if we are all reading too much into this, perhaps we are looking to get him some game time in a loan deal to Newcastle, get KPP early and Richo wants to make sure TDS is extended first, hence a bit like what happened with Twal, here is our offer and his management are testing the market to see if it's in the ballpark of what he might get elsewhere. I would be loath to release him for 6 months if he has not already extended with us. We have less control come Nov 1 and him being in another system.

I have had a feeling for some time that the club were always investigating options to get KPP early and this TDS swap may have been on the cards for a while...hence the fact we signed Hope and dropped TDS to reserves for a few games.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it 😀

I'm all for getting rid of bad apples but surely it can't be all of them. If it is then something is rotten in our junior system

Well, that's just your opinion. Nothing more than that. How are players, managers and families taking advantage of the club? If TDS leaves, after the exit of Galvin, what does that say about the leadership of the Club, that is, Richardson and the Board? That high class talent can just be allowed to go elsewhere? The players, managers and families are not "cancers", they are just maximising their opportunities and potential in the NRL. That they see WT as somewhere they can gain that advantage, then the cancer is in the leadership of the Club. Not the individual players.
