@jedi-tiger I think AD was our best player last year at 6. Imagine how good he’ll be playing with Hastings at 7.

I do. I think we’ve forgotten how good AD was last year. Put him next to a half like Hastings and he’d become even better. I’d be slotting him at 6.

With the Broncs playing brilliantly and with plenty of chance of sustained success, it shows that Haas is only interested in money.
@avocadoontoast Brooks speed at 6 and the wrap around douhie doesn't have that skillset. I just think Hastings and Douhie styles may clash both like the pass and can only be one chief, Brooks plays second fiddle well. Plus I don't see douhie being happy if he is not at 6 I reckon he may tell the club to shove it if we pick Brooks over him

Sure he wasn't consistent but it was his first year back with us and was inexperienced. Is he better than Daine at fb? He's bigger, stronger and a better runner as a minimum.
@declan I don't think they compliment each other. Brooks has that pace and skill douhie doesn't have that is pace and the fact Brooks has the speed to play both sides like he did in first half against cowboys. I think douhie will be clunky for Hastings Douhie is a bigger body, but I think we can only have one big dog in the yard and it is Hastings.
Also think Wayne will come knocking and it won't be for Brooks it will be for douhie, they are desperate for big signings

@jedi-tiger AD is a very dangerous runner of the ball and nowhere near as slow as people make out. In my opinion he also has a far better passing and kicking game than brooks.
AD was able to play well last year at 6 with Brooks at 7. Imagine how he’ll play next to a quality 7 like Hastings.

Im with you. A big part of the new style of attack we are using is 2 halves on the one side and a big part of that has been the fast change with Brook racing into position on the same side. Wont work with AD IMO.
I think AD is our best centre. Good player AD, one of our best but he is like at 85% for 4 positions.
