Like others, I heard the announcement of $40 million for an upgrade to LO. A very generous offer, IMO. Well done to the PM and Darcy Byrne and the NRL.
For those on here decrying that it won't be enough, I assume they want LO to be banished forever as a WT home ground?
It sort of reminds me of advice from a golf coach; "You don't have to follow a bad shot with a great shot. A good shot will do."
Quite the opposite but $40m won’t be enough to ensure it has more than 1 or 2 games a year. It’s just not commercially viable. Its likely that $40m turns into $140m by the time the work is completed, $40m just sounds more palatable to the Average punter that would rather the money be spent elsewhere and not on sports stadiums.

where are they going to get the extra $100mil from. The NSW government is making cuts everywhere including big cuts in education and health. No way they get away with adding any more to Leichhardt

Commbank is 10 minutes away
LO is good for 3 to catch up with mates who only go there
and CSS is great for taking the family.
will be interesting to see how this goes down with the wider fan base

commbank intake the bus it is ok
my gripe with parramatta stadium is it didn't work for balmain in the 90's it was always parramatta's home stadium and it kind of feels the same now.
it is a great stadium to watch football from however.
Campbletown I don't mind it's a bit of a drive but still a nice stadium
As far as atmosphere goes nothing beats LO

I dont mind the club offering dual CSS / commbank or LO / commbank options
