@teddy_s I understand the weight of prolonged disappointment, but I believe it’s dulled your objectivity. We were clearly a much improved outfit last year even with all the off field dramas. We stuck solid and avoided implosion.Yes we might’ve been better but there was palpable advancement.
As far as our roster is concerned I think it’s supremely better than anything fielded over the last decade, and with improvements forthcoming. One question, would you care to be a little more precise as to the 60-70% who don’t gaf?I think that’s an absolute insult to Benji for starters, and way off key.A bit early to be putting the boot in I would have thought.
Long term I hope for Latu/Jerome halves pairing but considering the injury to Latu, I understand the decision to start with AD at 7.
My preference is AD going to 13 but really not sure how invested he would be in that.
26 sleeps until our first pre season game 😎

Yes I heard this. But has someone been through the photos and ticked off every player seen or not seen?
Other report I read was Bunty has been the standout in off season training. I like that news, the more competition for each spot the better. I'm expecting some unexpected dark horses to have a massive year.

A couple of interesting bits from a new Fox League interview with Luai:
Q: I can’t even think how many pre-seasons you’ve been through now. Do they get easier?
A: I think it’s getting harder. I don’t know if it’s because of the age or like this Tigers pre-season has really ramped up and I love it because we mean business and we’ve got something to prove to our fans and to the people. We don’t want to be that underdog anymore. We want to be a real contender.
Q: Is there one player in pre-season that’s really impressed you thus far?
A: I’m going to give two big wraps to Bunty Afoa and Kai Pearce-Paul The standards they’ve come in with, the energy they’ve brought, obviously from different teams. You don’t really know what to expect from the new boys, but they’ve come in, heads down, ready to work and they’ve set a real good standard for our younger boys. So I’m excited to chuck this jersey on with those boys and see what we can muster up this season.

Think I’ve heard this statement every year for the past decade at least. Not interestedA couple of interesting bits from a new Fox League interview with Luai:

Looking forward to having a read. Pretty confident he'll have a bigger impact on the field this year.
Getting ultra excited about the season. Have planned 4 trips up to the mainland this season so far. Hopefully a few to plan around September too 😀

I know, but I’m excited to hear two of the forward recruits have been working well and leading the way. Mixed with the new-look Hunt and what I hope is a better physically prepared side it’s hard not to be a bit optimistic.
