In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
Have full trust in Richo with this situation
He knows he's given Stef a fair deal
If Stef wants to go somewhere else - off he goes with enough notice for us to males moves with that cash
Richo isn't desperate and won't panic
He'll have a plan
Top 8 2023
Getting out in front of it is absolutely the right move.
However it plays out, at least we've got time for a backup plan.
Whether he stays not, we have to know soon so we have time to plan for next year.
Personally I don’t think he’s any chance of staying, he would have signed by now if he was.
This is just like the Moses and Tedesco situation where they both dragged it out for ages when neither had any intention of staying.
I'm disappointed but I agree that he is very little chance of staying. He "tests the market" and suddenly decides that the WT offer was a good one after all? I don't think so.Whether he stays not, we have to know soon so we have time to plan for next year.

And the more I read the alleged quotes from Galvin, he seems a bit full of himself in how he thinks he and Stef together can
"change the club over the next 2 years".
Really? You and Stef? Not Api and Luiai and Turuva and Bula, Fainus numerous and others? I don't think so Lachlan.
I really hope it's just his youthful exuberance as opposed to an already inflated self-sense of his talents.
Yes, it’s just Richo putting the interests of the club first without disenfranchising Stef & his management. Seems fair for everyone.Have full trust in Richo with this situation

I too think Stef is in the way out. He has obviously received nibbles from other clubs.
For me, he is very good on his day but just can’t deliver consistent performance over a bunch of games to warrant $800k per year. I would have dropped him the to NSW cup last year and earlier this year as well.
is NAS past it ? think he might be
Stef is heading into his best years, would be nice to keep him but 800k hurts
if we can move Bateman on the 800k for stef is ok
Don’t understand the dislike for Bateman. He’s one of the only senior players I’d be content keeping.
price point is the problem and the length of the deal
If he watched origin he should feel pretty excited about what Luai will bring.

I was at the game, watched it from up high behind the posts - his mix of organisation and enterprise is exciting. Yes, kicking game too was spot on 👍

Always a little reluctant to make comparisons but I can’t help myself. I just think it’s interesting that Scott Prince is predominantly thought of as a 7. He played over 200 games in that position so fair enough but of course he played the vast majority of his first 4 or 5 years at 6 when he wasn’t injured. He wasn’t really considered a organising type half either, more of that flashy kind of player. I can’t recall too much of his first year at the Tigers when he played 7 but assume it took some time to adjust to new club, players etc. Jarome has more experience and will be 4 years older but, to some extent, it’s not too dissimilar. If he watched origin he should feel pretty excited about what Luai will bring.

Just curious but who would people rate as the best 5 props to be brought to the club? Here’s a few, in no particular order:
Stef
Keith Galloway
Todd Payten
Laffranchi *
Klemmer
- * Not sure as he played lower grades at Tigers but don’t think he was a junior.
Can you also name the best 5 props to come through the Tigers’ system?
Skando
Gibbs
Fifita
Woods
Sue
There are others who went on to do well elsewhere after playing only a couple of games or less but didn’t really do much at this club.
