imre Guler apparently looking for a release from Canberra along with whitehead going back to England and Papalli on his last legs. They will be desperate for Stef

I agree, but why would he go there? I think the Raiders are a team on the decline. If he gets a big offer from Roosters, Storm or Panthers, I get it. But I reckon he'd be better of staying here than going to Canberra.

100% agree. But I assume they will offer him AFB type money as they are a team that has always built around Front Row dominance

If they offer him $1m a season then we should wish him all the best and move on. He isn't worth that.

I reckon the $1M chatter is manager talk to drive up our price.

I think the most a club like Canberra would offer stef is 850k

a good club like Roosters Penrith melbourne could offer 700k and tell him we can get you back to origin that take him close to 800k and might win a comp

dogs and souths not sure where they fit they probably.have to offer close.to what we have allegedly offered around 800k and would think only the magic of bennet might lure him away.

as for the rumours if we miss stef we are going for big NAS from storm, not sure about him woukd prefer to keep stef for 800k

I agree, would be very tempting to make that swap despite the age difference.

But he’s not a starter & imo has less upside in him than Stef who is about to enter the best period of his career. Stef is what the Roosters are all about, acquiring players about to enter their prime. With the exception of Cronk, who was a million anyway, & Sua’ali’i this is how they go about maintaining their success. And Stef will want to stay in Sydney as he has a young family etc.

But NAS could work if we could also entice  a guy like Jack Williams, just doubt we could cover both. Maybe Hunt & Williams too. All options I guess should Stef go.

Just looked at last 5 games for Sharks and Storm.  Jack Williams averages close to 45 mins a game. Royce Hunt less than 20 mins a game. NAS 35 mins last 2 games but about 30 last 5 games.

is NAS past it ? think he might be

Stef is heading into his best years, would be nice to keep him but 800k hurts

if we can move Bateman on the 800k for stef is ok

Don’t understand the dislike for Bateman. He’s one of the only senior players I’d be content keeping.

NAS is an interesting rumour. My first instinct is to avoid the ageing props, but if you look at the impact of finucane and recent resigning of JWH, there is a case to attracting a big experienced unto like NAS. Even someone like klemmer has demonstrated value, if not impact. He is reliable and strong, and I assume a good influence around the young ones.

Nah. I totally disagree on that one.

I think they are very different players... Stef is a starter and a ruck 1 hitup prop.

NAS is an impact player only in my eyes.
