The club has two spoons and probably three … and the talk is around Douehi if this club ever wants to remove itself from the bottom and be taken seriously Douehi should be offered nothing his contract is up and it’s time he moved on . Top 30 spots are at a premium I want this club to take the hard decisions to get back on track not pussy footing around .. the only thing this club owes is to it’s supporters !!

Correct. We don’t have the fat to take on a project player or one that carries too much risk.

No issue with seeing how AD goes over the back of the season, wherever we play him, and making a call accordingly. He's not going to want to take up anything until he's back playing again, so there's no rush.

If I was coming back after a 3rd ACL, I would be looking at getting something in place for next year as protection.

So would I, but he's evidently going to back himself to earn something better once he's fit.

Where do you think he will play when he is back?

Would have to be centre, right? He's not going to crack the halves or FB in first grade unless we have a few injuries.
Tbh I think he needs to forget the halves and use his frame to bulk up and play in the forwards. He could be a really good edge fwd if he sorted his defence out and was prepared to get his hands dirty.
I reckon having a solid agent would be advising him to forget the halves dream.
I’ve always liked Adam but I can’t see where he fits in our squad with his position mindset.

Sounds like what I was saying on the pod we just recorded.

NRL market watch: Isaiah Papali’i to quit Wests Tigers at end of 2024 season
A big-money Wests Tigers star has been granted permission to leave the club with a year to run on his contract, with the move set to spark a transfer market frenzy.

Kiwi international Isaiah Papali’i is set to ignite the NRL transfer market after the Tigers back-rower was granted permission to leave the club with rival clubs set to circle.
It is understood that Papali’i is free to leave the Tigers at the end of this season which will spark a market frenzy with clubs already sounding out the 25-year-old whose $650,000 contract with the Tigers was due to expire at the end of next season.
Discussions heated up at Magic Round in Brisbane last weekend with clubs knowing that Papali’i has now joined the open market.
It means the likes of Penrith, Manly and Canterbury could pounce on Papali’i with the Panthers still on the look-out to fill the void created by James Fisher-Harris’ impending departure to the Warriors and the unsuccessful pursuit of David Fifita.
The Roosters’ Angus Crichton is the other marquee back-rower also a free agent. What is clear though, is that Papali’i’s time at the Tigers is set to come to a premature end.
He had joined the club amid much fanfare having originally signed a three-year contract to play under Michael Maguire. Papali’i will last just two seasons with the Tigers cutting him free from the final year of his deal.
While Papali’i was signed by Maguire he was never able to play for his former Kiwi Test coach. He played his first year under Tim Sheens before Benji Marshall took charge this year. Papali’i had been touted as a marquee signing for the Tigers given the success he had during two seasons at Parramatta where he won Dally M second rower of the year in 2021 which was followed by a grand final appearance the next season.
However he has not been able to replicate that same success at the Tigers. Papali’i missed the Tigers last-start loss to the Dolphins but returns to the starting team to play the Cowboys in North Queensland.
