@tiger5150 he’s just sharing the Penrith announcement but agreed it isn’t necessary of him to support that particular post.

he added the lyrics "Im coming home, let the rain wash away all the pain". unnecessary, disrespectful and classless. Again, not surprising.

Okay didn’t realise he had added that. He’s never really had his heart in being here unfortunately

Ever since that "incident" where he wore the Penrith jersey to celebrate their GF win his card has been marked by Sheens and co, he had a few good games for us and he has potential however his heart is with the Panthers and his goal was always to head back there. Well he has what he wants now and will probably look like a superstar for 10mins when he gets a run at origin time or when they have injuries. He and the Panthers are a perfect example of why we should be focusing on our juniors or bringing in players with connections to our catchment area.

Some people laughed at me when we let Hasting go and I said Newcastle would end up higher on the ladder than us. Well I’m laughing right back at you… I occasionally get things right.

Jedi was telling me the same when I said we should let Brooks go and keep Hastings, he said Hastings would take the Knights down the ladder, and we would finish ahead of them. Well the Knights are 1 point out of the 8, and 11 points in front of us, and Hastings has done it with Gamble as his halves partner

IMO, all this talk of Hasting/Gamble v Wakeham/Brooks misses the point.

IMO with Hastings this year, we win maybe 3-4 more games and we come 12-15th and there is zero scope for growth. Mind you IMO if Brooks doesnt get injured we also win 2 or 3 more. We need a solution MUCH better than Hasting/Brooks/Wakeham to bring this club back to life.

And, what is that solution?

Halves much better than Hastings/Brooks/?Wakeham quite obviously.

Really ....wow, so profound. Let's assume it won't be Cleary and Munster, so who should it be?

Well Fainu/Sullivan/Sezer isnt perfect but a massive step up from Hastings/Gamble/Wakeham (which was the point of my original post).

newcastle playing well has not much to do with Hastings halfback play and more to do with Ponga playing well back at fullback.

I don't really rate Hastings but we're a far weaker team this year for letting him go early. Was stupid.

But it really helps when you have a controlling no7….not the headless chickens we’ve had here this year.

He’s a very good player but replacing a front rower is easier than replacing a spine player. I know he got selected for Blues but I really don’t think Stef has been outstanding this year - think Klemmer’s been much better.

Blake Taafe has been offered significantly more money by us then all other bidders. He didn't even consider accepting. Tigers on the nose big time.

@jedi-tiger maybe . But he will need to either improve his consistency around aggression . Or his consistency around output .
They will not suffer the plodder . Collins is a workhorse , JWH offers the alpha /aggression . Lodge has moved into plodder territory . And he’s gone .
Taukieaho , was just a workhorse , who could belt you , same for most front rowers they have had .
Whilst I’m not debating the huge potential of Steph , I wouldn’t be jumping at that .
If you aren’t pushing rep jersey form all the time , and you’re paid above average wage for your position , they will get rid of you .
That pressure isn’t for everyone .

It will only trigger a release if he is looking for one and if he is we don’t want him here. Only want players committed to the club like api
