I would be happy Metcalf, can’t see Duffy leaving NQ . Duffy only 19 and he did knock back an offer from the dogs earlier this year. Jake Bourke is a good crafty halfback from the cowboys maybe a good back up option for us. Still think Connor Tracey would make a decent 5/8 to go with Metcalf.
would think the warriors let go TMM before metcalfe and probably keep volkman (signed until end of 2025) if SJ signs on for another year.
@jedi-tiger dunno bout that mate . Volkman went there for an opportunity, he t hasn’t really transpired . Now they’ve got Harris Tavita, Scheck , TMM , Metcalf , maybe Charnz , all needing to fit into max 5 spots , and you’re right I haven’t even mentioned Johnson . That’s 7 into 5 . I’m not sure he’s going to want to ride the pine for another year or 2 .
Love the podcast gents. Regarding Brooks, one thing I don’t hear mentioned much is that wouldn’t we get Cap discount/advantage on Brooks as veteran player? Effectively saving us $180k off his salary under cap? If so, surely we could up his offer slightly to get him across the line. I don’t think any other player (maybe Nof?) would qualify for us to get discount?

Went and watched Jets v Warriors at Henson today. Volkman was good and would def have him but we should be throwing cash at Trindall he is way too good for nsw cup.

I'm off the Ben Hunt train. He is surprisingly leading a really bad culture along with DeBelin at saints. I won't go into the exact details of that, but it's not hard to guess when it comes to league players.
I was very surprised to hear what Hunt is like. I don't think at his age we need that off field crap.
