When is the last rookie to debut you can all remember that has made such a quick improvement and impact on the team?
For me it is Benji, 2003 with 1 try in first 4 games then 2004 7s!
We obviously don't want to put the weight of the Tigers world on the kids shoulders but I can't help but be excited for the kids future & I really hope we make sure that future is with the Tigers.

We won't get Brooks for 300k, you might get him for 450k if it is a 2 year deal, 100k more than wakeham and given AD is on probably 600k for 2024.

500k for a half is not a big offer especially considering AD was on supposed 600k or so.
@jedi-tiger people have seen Luke play 200 games now and seen the good and bad games. I don’t think form comes into make an offer for a player at the stage of their career. Clubs already have a fair idea what they are going to get.

It's a big offer when the next biggest offer is $0. Comparing to AD is silly because that's a bad contract - we don't want to repeat those mistakes. There are some very important players we need to upgrade and extend (Bula, Tupou, Pole, Stef etc) and $100k here and there will make a difference. If we re-sign Brooks it will have to be at the smallest hit to the cap possible.
@mercy-rule um….. Jedi is right ! Hastings isn’t, nor was he ever the messiah , I have heard expressed about him on various message boards , and alternate podcasts .
And the ladder position of that team , and more importantly the style of play , is vindication of this fact .
As I said earlier , I’m not sure about anyone but brooks , but I will say it should be anyone but brooks not named hastings .
