“But, I’m keeping an eye on the Wests Tigers, I know for a fact the Tigers have money to spend and spend now.

“They have a hole in the centres, and they’d prefer to sell that dream to Jack of, ‘Come play in the centres for us instead of the back row’.

“So, I’m keeping an eye on the Tigers in that space as well.”

Well he is a utility player and we LOVE utility players

ITs a no from me. We have Peachey already filling the "utility at the end of his useful playing career" spot.

Centre is a weakness but was pleasantly surprised with Gildart & Roberts last night. With TT to come back it might not be as bleak as I thought and I think we can aim higher than Jack Bird for other spots that we need.

And I though ToA looked pretty good as well.

Agreed. And I forgot about kepaoa

And where does Tommy Talau eventually fit??

Madge loves him in my opinion

Agreed. I have him as first choice centre without the injury, although I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by Gildart on Friday

Penrith Panthers star hooker Apisai Koroisau will be available to play every game of the 2022 NRL season after reportedly receiving two coronavirus vaccine doses.

The hooker was one of the final hold outs in the competition, however, reportedly made it clear he was not an anti-vaxxer, rather, simply deciding to wait to be vaccinated.

If some of these young guys prove to be good enough, then in the next few years we are going to have a log jam in a few positions. For example:

5/8- Douhei, Hastings, Tannous

Lock - Seyfarth, Rua

Hooker - Liddle, Simpkin, Rua

2nd row - Blore, Papa, Tuki, Tumeth, O'Kane

A good problem to have but we don't have a good track record of identifying who to keep.

Re: Jack Bird. Thought he looked pretty heavy at present, would need to do some work to go well at centres again. I think he would be a big risk on a couple of fronts.

On the other hand, Gildart also impressed me. He looks like a smart player, and by God we've been needing more smarts!

Not sure how smart Bird is...

Replacing Tuilagi and Leilua with Nikora and Papali’i in the backrow would be a master stroke by the club.

Does anyone know if there’s any truth to the Franklin Pele rumour that we have supposedly signed him?

@tigerlily I haven’t heard anything except for forum talk. Someone from the Sharks forum said he had all but signed for us and he seems to be low on the pecking order in terms of props at the Cronulla. I wouldn’t get my hopes up yet though.

He’s a big boy - 121kgs. How does he handle the current rules?

@helmesy just watching his stint from the game on the weekend again and jeez, if we can get him and Stefano together, it could be a special front row combination down the line.

That would be a formidable pairing.Dare to dream, but I imagine the Storm given the defections of late, are keen to bolster their stocks and Bellyache has a habit of gaining the signatures of talented, giant forwards.

Jamal Fogarty out for 4 months at Canberra

do we look at sending them Madden and that frees up a spot for Rua and let's us have a spare spot. It allows Madden game time and experience
