@tigertownsfs yeah 250k for Bateman, just thinking we need to get a club to release a spine player and they need to replace him too, I think they can write their own cheque with the fee.
@avocadoontoast we havent kicked off yet, can you please wait until after the game Avo ?
We may yet win you never know 😉
Well we're due, we haven't won a game for an awfully long time. My daughter is 8 months old and we haven't won since she was born.
Are you saying she is the reason? lol

Born the day after we were robbed against NQ. Tigers have been going downhill ever since lol.
Jack wighton might have a 1m option for next year but it is the the year after that and after that which may tempt him to move.
If we can’t get Williams or Hynes (pipedream) I wonder if we could pry Hunt away from the Dragons for a year or 2? Still think we chase Welsby for FB too.
Bula? …. at best he’s on L plates.I think Brooks will be re-signed for 2 years announced on bye week (i think it is pretty close to being done, no idea on salary though).
2024 we go after Wighton
2024 spine
1. Douihie
6. Wighton
7. Brooks
9. Api
1. Bula
6. Wighton
7. Williams
9. Api
im on board with this

BEst and most natural fullback Ive seen at the club, despite what Sheens says.

Hearing Sheens say Doueihi is the best fullback in the club is almost as disappointing as the nine game losing streak.

Million dollar player having to be saved by a part timer.
This from ‘The Courier’…
Wakeham said the Tigers need stability for the combination to grow after playing with three different spine combinations in the opening four rounds.
"Sheens has said that he's not going to chop and change the team each week," Wakeham said.
"(That) is good to hear, not having it in the back of my head I might get dropped if something doesn't go well.
"It does help if the same combination is in there every week. It helps the whole team on how each other play.
"If we can all play well at the same time then we can keep our jobs."
Wakeham admitted he was not happy with his own game against Melbourne, in his first NRL match as a starting half since turning out for Canterbury last April.
In the time since he went unsigned by the Bulldogs, he was left with the prospect of returning to life as a plumber before being picked up by the Tigers on a one-year deal in January.

@tigertownsfs what do you mean ? It does matter . The money has to be spent on the players . Not transfer fees the actual people .

no the grant is greater than the salary cap. By definition it can’t all be spent on the players or you would breach the cap. The requirement is to spend minimum 95% of the cap. What the club does with its money (including money that it chooses not to spend on cap) can be used to do whatever it likes.
The embattled Tigers have suffered another blow with English club Warrington slamming the door on any approaches by NRL clubs to sign star halfback George Williams.
With the lack of a match-winning halfback the biggest of the Tigers' many problems, the club was believed to be set to make a play for Williams, who had a highly successful stint at Canberra in 2020-21.
But Warrington boss Karl Fitzpatrick told Wide World of Sports there is no way his club would even consider releasing Williams - even for a fat transfer fee.
"He is signed with us until the end of 2024 and we are actually in discussions about an extension," Fitzpatrick said.
"We rate George very highly and no way will he be leaving us any time soon."
Much-maligned Tigers halfback Luke Brooksis coming off contract at year's end and the club has yet to decide whether to re-sign him or move in a different direction.
