Yep, there’s a chance something is going on here. It’s surely not just the 5th year. It will come out sooner or later but we did make it known we wanted him this year.

we must have been watching different games. I am no fan of his but I thought he was the best player on the field by a mile
I didn’t watch the game. Was just a tongue in cheek comment responding to the comment about us picking him up this year

agreed, thought he played very well too. His conversion from the sideline after halftime also reminded me of his utility if he were to come to us.
It could well be the tipping point for me and I give up supporting the team and game altogether. Not that my decision would matter in the big scheme of things, but having to support a team with Mitchell Moses in it is a step too far for me. That's the level of my dislike of him.Watching Moses look like a 12 year old kid crying to the playground teacher made me sick. I really don't want him.

Supporting a side with Russel Packer was preferable?

I feel your pain. I try to not let it get that bad for me.

Worst thing about Packer was his refusal to have a go. 30 metres a game drove me insane.
@doug-heffernan he was just busted man ! He went well and led the pack his first year .did his foot and it was all over. Just couldn’t keep up after that .
I don’t see what the issue is with him though . He served his time, was remorseful , changed his life , and was a beacon for change amongst disaffected youth .
To be honest it’s a big emblem of toxic masculinity. And how “being hard” is what was the number one thing for many of his/my generation amongst guys growing up .
I can only imagine how that would be ten fold amongst kids from the mean streets of Auckland .

His first few games we ok at best, showed some promise. He then just cruised. His first year was just as horrible as the other years. That's my opinion anyway.
I have found that some fans recall being impressed early by Packer and have remembered that being all year, but it was actually just a couple of early games when the team started the season well. Once we started to lose, he went missing.

Kikau helps Bulldogs snare promising forward from Tigers
The Wests Tigers are privately fuming over losing one of their brightest young stars to the Bulldogs.
Kitione Kautoga, who made his one and only NRL appearance for the Tigers against the Dragons in round 24 last year, is on his way to Belmore.
The Fijian forward, who scored three tries in NSW Cup in the opening round, was brought to the Tigers by former general manager Adam Hartigan. Hartigan is now at the Bulldogs working with Phil Gould.
The pair organised for Kautoga to meet with coach Cameron Ciraldo and his idol Viliame Kikau. It was enough to get him over the line.
The Tigers requested a $160,000 transfer fee from the Bulldogs to release him this year, but that doesn’t look like happening.
Does anyone know why we re-signed Tumeth, who is clearly too small, ahead of this guy?
@avocadoontoast Tumeth should never of been given a top 30 spot this season had plenty of time in a year or two .. unfortunately the club is on the decline , the thought process’s and the philosophies are screwed .The good old boys club of yesterday will save the day 🤣.. this club lives in the past and continues to make same decisions!
