Well regardless of what Brandy thinks I hope all Wests Tigers supporters get behind Brandon and not look for any mistake in his game to justify their opinions. I already see way too much of that on other forums.on SEN this morning Brandies words were regarding Wakeham He is not a very good footballer, harsh but very fare!!!
Wakeham is what you get if you order Benji on Wish 😆
Mate Wakeham is what you get when you order Jock Madden on Wish.
@jimmy yea I haven’t been back to the other forum since signing up to this one
@davey-farrell yea my mate who played for tigers and eels in NSW cup said he is crap too as he also played in that position
its strange they gave him the last s ot on the roster, i thought Albert Kelly looked better on Saturday, there was talk we were looking at him as train and trial..Wakeham just does not im ress me one bit..i thought he was ordinary at bulldogs too, but he is in tigers colours so lets see if he goes better, fingers crossed
A big concern for me with Wakeham is his reluctance to be physical. I'm sure he moved out of the way rather then attempt a tackle for the Warriors 2nd try. I can live with shortcomings as a genuine half in my back up, but not that. He's playing for his future and moved out of the way, concerning.
Sure. I forgot Klemmer and Staines. I'll attribute them to Sheens, as I will the loss of Hastings and the failure to land Ciraldo.Missed a few API and Papi plus Klemmer Stains ….. all under Sheens/ Benji watch. In reality, Sheens has signed Will Smith, Brandon Wakeham and John Bateman (who is yet to arrive). Quality, you say? I disagree. You’ve made a good point but I differ in opinion to whether or not Bellamy would do the same. At Melbourne he wouldn’t but there is a chasm of difference between Melbourne Storm & Wests Tigers. If he was in the position of Benji Marshall would he be hoping the club does all they can to get a player he thinks believes will give him a good chance of success when he begins his coaching career?@helmesy No doubt it will impact on our recruitment/retention and I share your concern.I believe we’re putting a lot of eggs in one basket and possibly paying up to 400-500k overs. For a supposed pathways outfit it seems a little counter productive to me.
I think it’s also easy to be seduced by the drama of the actual negotiation as to viewing it dispassionately and objectively.I know as a lesser entity in the NRL pecking order we’re always going to pay a little more, but I could never see a Craig Bellamy paying this sort of freight unless it was a Slater or Cam Smith.Absolutely tried and tested.I don’t see Moses in the same light and he comes with a little excess baggage.Ultimately one can ask the question,is this a big compromise or gamble with our cap?Or can we afford to gamble to this level?
But, one thing that is different since Sheens arrived back is the ability to attract quality first grade players. So, with a hopefully much more competitive team, and the continued introduction of good youngsters into the side, are we really that much of a gamble?
And, yes, I think Sheens and Marshall make WT a big gamble for players and managers to consider.
And if you want you argue that first two were signed by Madge you’d be wrong.
I wouldn't waste my time arguing with you man/woman, but we all know that the two "high quality" signings of Api and Papi were when Maguire was head coach. They signed to play under him. That's not up for dispute by anyone with any intelligence - i.e. those not living in the deluded world of Sheensball.

I'll have to re-watch that, I thought it was Talau that moved out of the way.

I have finally signed up and joined, the other place is a cesspool atm. As for Moses, I believe he'd be a great addition to us even at the price tag. We lack a creator. I love brooks and doueihi but even wakeham looked more natural as a playmaker. We may not have got the result on the trial but it's obvious to see we will be much better this year, just may take a few games to gell.
Good to see you here Jimmy
Blake Taaffe would be good for that utility roll.
Brandon Wakeham has 25 NRL appearances. In his 4 seasons at the Dogs he had 4 different coaches. He started in the halves 19 times, 6 times off the bench. In his 19 appearances in the halves he had 5 different halves partners. This at a club that was getting over cap problems & performing poorly. He’s been at this club 5 minutes and people writing him off on that and one trial. Give the bloke a chance.

Agree that lack of effort in defence was pretty alarming. Think at least two of the first half tries came through him.
