Sanders defends better than Madden did
I haven’t seen the kid play but would be happy to trust the club to bring him in however Brooks would even say himself he has underperformed (lets see how he goes with the solid pack we have next year) and I don’t see AD as a half personally.
Onitoni Large looks pretty good, we got him back from the Roosters. Only 15 so 3 years away at least
seen highlights of this kid and he looks a gun but 15 is a few years off and a lot can happen in that time
Could possibly see us signing George Williams (28yo) to a similar contract as Bateman. 3-4 years until a young guy like Large is ready.

I couldn’t imagine a young kid coming to the Tigers to be a back up.
I don't think Jock Madden was brought in to replace Brooks?
Every team needs a backup and a lot of the time they're a young guy hoping to break through. Is this like that scenario or is he the heir apparent like Brooks was?

I’d say we need a least 1 half for 2024 and beyond as a Brooks and AD combo isn’t going to be suitable. If it’s a young player or an established player they would be coming across to play first grade.

Im disappointed that we didn't re-sign Madden to be honest. I watched him play reggies at Redfern oval last year and although Wests lost I thought he was too good for that level.
Happy to accept he hasn't stamped his authority at NRL level but have any WT halves in the past 2 years?
The talk about Ethan Saunders seems pretty silly now in light of the fact we put 4+ years development into a former Australian Schoolboys half only to let him walk? Back to square one isnt it?
