@loganr21 he’d be on more than that in the Super League surely he wouldn’t come back for one year on the cheap

Most probably not to any other club than the tigers. And to wear the 13 jumper running out at Leichardt. W Pearce would shed a tear I would think.

he’s always wanted to distance himself from his father in terms of career so I think that’s the last thing he’d want to do. Would be a good asset though.

i think that Mitchell Pearce wanted to distance himself from the Tigers to stand on his own in his career, but I think at this stage of his career, which is seriously on the downward slope at the end, it wouldnt be a concern for him or anyone. i would have the same concerns about Pearce at 13 as I did about Hastings. Not big enough, not a big enough motor, not used to that level of work although I think Pearce is (was?) a better defender than Hastings.

Ive always been a fan of Pearce and would love him to have played his career at the Club. I think he has always been a victim of other peoples expectations of him. He is and has been a VERY good halfback, but people expected him to be Andrew Johns and single handedly win SoO's year on year. But its a no from me.

@tiger5150

another average halfback probably only just a little better than brooks, he had a champion team around him his whole career at the roosters and how many premierships did he win ?

I heard you all missed me, so Im back!!!

I have not been idle however in my long absence and I can now announce exclusively here for the good people of the Wests Tigers Podcast that as the world waits on a decision from Mitchell Moses the Tigers are not dragging their feet and have made a very aggressive and ambitious move on Ethan Sanders, the Parramatta halfback in Jersey Flegg & SG Ball 2022. Stay tuned and watch this space!!!

Very Smart move because if Eels sign Moses his path is blocked for 4 years..  Is this Sanders kid good?

so if they are making a move on this Sanders kid does that mean they are viewing Moses as unlikely? Do they also not have faith in our own junior halves they have talked up?

we really need an established quality half at this stage.

A lot of hype around him with Parra fans. Started last year in SG Ball, finished as established half in jersey flegg as an 18yo.

There is not a lot of talented halves in our juniors in my opinion, it why I think bringing at least one from outside the club is really important. You really have to go down to young guy, Large, to find one and I think he is still Under 15s?

Sanders would be perfect. he turns 19 next year and if he is good enough, he would be ready for first grade in 24, 25 at the latest which would tie in nicely with an end of Contract for Brooks or AD regardless of whether Moses comes or not.

If this is true, I applaud Sheens and co, it is a very smart move, and would have the Slimeys squirming

what about Zane Camroux? I’ve heard positive reports but haven’t seen him play. And is Micheal Tannous only considered as a dummy half since doing his knee?

I'm not a big fan of Camroux, he is ok I just don't see him developing to an elite half.

Onitoni Large looks pretty good, we got him back from the Roosters. Only 15 so 3 years away at least

@the-last-ronin you run with AD or Brooks as a 6 and Sanders as a 7 could work I guess.

Sanders defends better than Madden did
