Reading the Newcastle forum the same fans that were adamant Brooks was gone last week and heading to Newcastle are now saying Hastings to Newcastle 2024.

I just can’t see Sheens letting Brooks go before the end of next season unless we can secure a decent like for like half.
We have nothing available in the lower grades short term so without Brooks we would be well and truly stuffed.
Hastings and Douhie combo doesn’t fit the Sheens-fastball playbook.
I agree about Hastings/Doueihi combo, way too slow. It's why i'd like to see Laurie get a go.
@avocadoontoast I got told weeks ago he had had discussions with parramatta, can only go by what I was told. Very very confident he will be here 2023 though like i was last week when the story broke.

I'm surprised Parra would be talking with Brooks given their current halves are better than him in every single way.

Parra just extended Jakob Arthur as well. Icant imagine any scenario where Brooks ends up at Parra unless they have already given up on Moses or Moses.

Yeah, feels like we've been here before. Maybe they are waiting on/negotiating with Leniu and that needs to fall into place first? Not to mention how Brooks/Knights could be a factor too.
