Honestly he doesn’t have a leg to stand on contractually but still I have serious doubts he’ll be here.
Prediction: we announce that we let Papi out of his contract the same day we sign a top tier 2RF and the club says we “got something out of it”.
On paper that will look like an ok outcome “we were better off but we can’t tell you the details etc”. In truth it will perpetuate the behaviour of agents and players with our club and we will be paying overs for another marquee player rather than get a valuable player for fair/unders
