Whats your bench TT? I think we need 3 forwards playing as part of the interchange to address the physicality problem. Haywood needs to come on for Api, and playing AD at lock gives us cover in the halves and centres.

I think it’s an uncomfortable case of least worst decision.
My guess is they go with Latu douhie 7 -6 combo and ease Latu into the dominant half role. He was over awed by Luai this year and didn’t take control where he should have.
perhaps the counter arguement is if you stick him next to a more junior halves partner he might feel more confident

Pretty clear cut that Javon and Latu become the halves pairing with Madden the back up and we could play Haywood at 14 to give Api a rest.
But we’d need a specialist lock and more props to bolster the bench, we’d have less halves/centre depth and who’d be the goal kicker?

I hope that is the plan (no pun intended). Perhaps they’ve decided Haywood needs more time in reserve grade.
Makes sense. Upgrade on Hope and old enough that he isn’t a block on Haywood. Reliable bench cover for Api so we can get another couple of seasons out of him.
