@jedi-tiger When Albos money runs out that club will collapse as no sponsors up that way as per population PNG is one of the poorest nations on the planet the NRL will need deep pockets !
I'm not fussed if Luai moves to the new PNG franchise. I hardly think the team is playing any better over the last 2 weeks since his return, in fact, the more clunky attack has also returned. Good luck to him if he chooses to go there.
Could you imagine what the WAGs will be like after a few months together in the compound. It will make MAFS look like Sound of Music.
Laui’s his own beast but the only way the May's go up is if Benji does.Laui in PNG this weekend .. Money talks that’s why he came to the Tigers ! The May’s could end up there as well .,
It’s interesting reading other Tigers forums the main take away is disappointed but after 2027 good luck Laui , his on field play has certainly not excited the general supporter base . I hope unlike many of the former agitators he makes a decision quickly so all can move on and then the club can seriously put major attention into the promising juniors that are on the cusp of the NRL .

I reckon most players won’t take their partners and kids.

100%! The government’s big spending approach is starting to bite and I can’t see future spending being an attractive option for government as there are no votes in it.
As you say, I doubt there’s enough money flowing up their to fund it, and the Chinese wouldn’t be interested 😂
Sounds like a team being built on really soft ground to me.

Agree, we seem to lose direction when Luai enters the play.
No doubt he’s been great for team spirit and confidence, but what he’s delivering on field is not what he’s being paid.

Good outcome for WT. It’s over quickly, we have certainty, didn’t pay a cent extra, we retain his good character/standards for balance of this year and next, and already have some solid contingencies in place.
I'm quite astounded at many WT supporters responses to potentially Luai leaving for PNG. I understand if he leaves we do have good coverage and upcoming pathways options to cover. But to dismiss and minimise what he has done for this club, continues to do for this club both on and off the field is just astounding.
Wests Tigers were in the doldrums for years. No one wanted to come to the club. The standards and culture were no where near where they needed to be. Luai has brought so much to this club and is a major major contributor to what we are seeing this year. We've had a great start and the future seems hopeful. But if Luai leaves, how much of those standards, culture and attraction to join the club leaves with him? Benji plays a massive part in this too, but without Jerome it may never have occurred.
I get everyone has opinions on his performances, but I think many don't see what his full contributions are... Defensively, organisational, communication and attack. In mine and others opinions he's has 2 absolutely outstanding games this year. He contributes so much to this team and I am pretty upset and concerned that he may be leaving. I want this club to be set for success for many years, not just one or two.
I hope people can give him the respect he deserves.
This Tax free element is a very grey area .. is it tax free from PNG government or Australian government .
Im not bitter about Jerome Leaving
Im concerned about the Mays and Fainu brothers staying
