I don't think Bula is a good cultural fit for the WT given he seems to be pretty reluctant to praise the coaching staff or say anything positive in general about the club. We have seen this many times before with Isaac Moses clients.
I think we should come to an agreement with Bula for an additional season at $850k (split the difference between club option 900k and player option 800k) then shake hands and move on to a better value player for 2028.
In 12 months we'll know a lot more about Attard and Brookes as long term fullback options.
Isaac Moses hasn't ever done WT any favours and we should stand up to him in this instance. No player or his agent is bigger than the club.
Im just shaking my head.
You literally post a podcast whereby Terrell May raves about how much Bula means to the team he is "everyones favourite player", Bula and Terrell talk for 41minutes about how important Bula is to the squad, and how much they love him. He is the "glue that holds the older boys with the younger boys" . Bula explains how humble he is, talks about his faith, how he has worked to look after his family, how he has worked with young indigenous kids at Redfern Youth Connect. Somehow out of that you take out that you dont think Bula is a good cultural fit the WT.
I cant imagine who would be a good fit for the club culturally if Bula isnt. I can cop people saying that they dont think he worth the money that he is going to get paid (by us or others) because that is a subjective opinion but that was literally 41 minutes of a demonstration for the best cultural fit possible.

Really? So you are determining the parameters for a player who is "a good cultural fit"? I assume you have an extensive background in organisational and situational analysis?
By comparison to your, supposedly, greater insights, I feel Bula is 100% committed to the club and that the current group of players are equally committed to him being the reliable, consistent, high level contributor to their team.
But, hey, that's just my opinion based on observation and analysis of Bula, his impact, his influence, his contributions and his courage.
Of course, there could be other metrics, such as praising the coaching staff and club, that you're suggesting are sure fire indicators that he is worth keeping. Some may buy that. I sure as hell don't.
