Good back up option for us. The other  BIG NEWS is the club has appointed Shannon Gallant as their new recruitment boss.

I think it’s great to have Madden back as a depth option. You can feel the players are starting to be attracted to the club. Something is building.

@joel Thats interesting the Magpies from all reports are finally going to add something to the top grade .. Madden is a competent player with experience could do worse , could be spending more time down at Lidcombe oval next season  watching a decent team at last !

"You can feel the players are starting to be attracted to the club".

Are you serious? Which consistently high quality, outcome defining players are attracted to WT?  A guy, in Madden, who left and went elsewhere and has hardly set the world on fire there, is not that player. If the Wests Magpies have a forum, they should be excited by this signing; not the WT NRL club. Good grief.

Always need a back up halfback

I’d say Doueihi is ➡️🚪

I'd say Bud gone before AD..

Souths were looking at Madden also and we got him so not many halves left on the market, and they are trying to offload Dodd.

Yep, forgot about Sullivan. He would have to be long odds to return here.

Madden is a good pickup as a NSW Cup half. Plenty of FG experience.

have some faith brother. Another class prop and lock and we will have a top8 roster for the first time in a decade. Judging by recent results from Cup we will have depth in most positions as well. The roster rebuild is almost complete

With the re-signing of Jock, you'd think the reports of our interest in Javon Andrews would no longer be true right? He's a half too I'm pretty sure. Unless we'd be signing him as a development player. But... Too many halves?

@tigertownsfs, I have had 58 years of having "faith", it's worn me down. If Bula re-commits, I'll stay interested. Probably not enough to renew memberships but, at least, look forward to seeing how the Tigers go each week. Losing Bula would be the end of it for me.

The issue is the "Club" and their decisions, not so much the roster, although, obviously, they're linked.

There's a massive question mark over Marshall's coaching and player development ability, and, IMO, Richardson's ability to attract and recruit (and not pay overs for) those genuinely classy players to strengthen the roster. And, of course, there's Dennis Burgess and HBG.

@mercy-rule that’s fair enough. I have zero faith in HBG but I think Richo has done about as good as I expected and Benji has improved this year. I’m hoping the trend is towards a great 2026
