@tiger5150 He’s a 5/8 and can’t even set up a field goal in the last play of the game. I think we’re overplaying his culture prowess. Let’s just say I don’t think Latu will learn all that much from him either. All these panthers players that have come haven’t brought that much also. I also think Api is cooked.

Luai came within a metre of scoring a try in that last set and was solely responsible for getting us that field position. His defence alone won us that game. At one stage in the second half we drop the ball in their half on our right hand side and Titans winger picks  it up, engages Toa & Staines and puts away Brimson with no one in front of him and Luai smashes him, never giving up the play and running from the opposite side of the field to get him. Luai ran for over 127m.

If you cant see the difference in culture at the club this year, the way we are not giving up in games, the way that the players are pulling together compared to previous years, the fact that an elite player in his position has just extended and wants to stay at the club, then I dont know what to tell you. IMO Luai and to an extent Turuva and Terrell, along with Benji are responsible for that turnaround in culture and it hasnt happened in any previous year.

Completely agree. Imagine if he scored that try? He would be an absolute hero. I think his cover/scramble defence doesn't get the respect it deserves and the comparison made about the culture consultant was spot on.

In Api's first year, he was pretty average until he got the others used to how he played and vice versa. I reckon the same is happening with Jarome and Latu.

It is still incredibly hard to watch this team but everyone was saying that it would take a long time to turn this ship around and that we needed more patience, even though we are fed up. Well, the ship is in that turn, and patience is needed now.

Just a question... If this is your opinion on the club, why do you stay?

Im glued to the club… been a tiger for near on 40 years. Only way I walk is if we fold .

We sucked on the weekend and were very clunky. But we have a very good roster which is something we haven’t had since 2011. Getting away from the spoon is an amazing win (yes I know small steps) because it gives room to recruit and for our coach and senior players to head into preseason with a lot of hard work done. Next year if we are not at least at the edge of the 8 then we can get upset but it’s too soon to throw the momentum we have as a club away.

@joel Fantastic news, finally announced after am awkward wait.

So who is our next priority for re-signing?

Who is off contract after this season?

That's exactly the type of response I would expect from someone on that other WT forum. Not this one. Shame on you.

The Api re-signing announcement has me about as excited as the hoo-ha about the new logo minus the paws and claws announcement a few years ago. Good luck to him. He is a warrior for the club, no doubt about it. But, losing TDS as collateral damage doesn't sit well with me, TBH.

I think it’s a year too long personally.

We are reportedly deep in negotiations with QLD U/19s half Javon Andrews.

Hopefully in the next 12 to 18 months we see Haywood come through and it all comes clear.
