@enumerator After watching the old fella yesterday offering that extension is concerning to say the least .. I see one more good season in him then it’s straight onto the Weststigers pension fund . There had to be a lot more to the TDS situation he and them around him could see API is on the downward trend and in 2027 would pretty much be the main guy but that’s water under the bridge now !
I have to agree. There is limited upside to Api, as tough and honest as he is, and i suspect you're right about the TDS situation.@enumerator After watching the old fella yesterday offering that extension is concerning to say the least .. I suspect it was the hope that Api/Hope can hold the fort long enough for Haywood to take the position. Another risky move by those at Concord.

@helmesy I would imagine Haywood will be playing reserve grade next season after an off season with the top grade.Looking at it as it stands today API for 3 seasons is a stretch IMO!
Perhaps a controversial take but I’m wondering whether Terrell is slightly overrated. By that I mean his stats are off the charts but it’s because he plays more minutes than everyone else so he simple racks up higher numbers. Don’t get me wrong he is a great player but last weekend showed we still lack big impact and physicality in our forward pack. I am thinking May could/should play shorter minutes and those minutes could be allocated to a more impactful player. Our pack is looking more settled but I think we have room for another starting/elite front row forward along with working out what we do at 13.

He’s your perfect prop to compliment a high impact counterpart.

Which is what Hunt is meant to be providing... but he is in NSW cup for whatever the reason and does not seem to be the answer.
I really don’t understand what happened with Hunt. We start the year with him as impact off the bench, he comes on for 20 odd minutes and has desired impact, we score a lot our wide when he is on as he is denting the line and getting quick play the balls. The pole gets injured and we try and play him as starting prop and he fails and then down to NSW cup and never to return. It’s just so weird that we aren’t reverting to the game plan that worked in the first couple of months of the competition.

It has to be an attitude issue, surely?

Hope I presume will need to be in the 17 to allow API a break for 20min.
that leaves a starting prop and a lock as key signings. If Douhie makes it as a 13 then he provides lots of coverage in the backline which would allow you to play another prop on the bench. We really have to go big though and spend some money on another game breaking player. We have the cap space and we now have very limited starting spots available. It’s really a rep level 13 or prop and then some coaches who know how to use them.
i saw Benji talking with Fifita after the game and they looked very chummy. Personally would prefer Tino but Fifita would give a lot of impact off the bench.
@tigertownsfs Agree, the signings to fill those slots must be quality. That would really take us to another level.
