Agree with the above - I don't understand why we are even considering letting TDS go. Relying on Api as the sole #9 until the end of 2028 seems silly to me.
Unless they are really high on Haywood and have basically chosen him over TDS, the way we're handling this doesn't make sense to me.
I don't get why he is being let go. He wants to play 80 mins and not be stuck behind Api, fine. But why does that mean an immediate release? Wouldn't that mean that he negotiates in November for when his contract with us ends?
im guessing he is on a decent contract, we will want to use his salary to bring forward cap for next year. That’s the logic, not saying I agree with it.
Haywood is 18months behind him so a better fit for the succession plans

I don't imagine that he would be on a huge amount and seeing the amount of spare top 30 spots we have, we should have a stack of cash.
They would want to start developing Haywood quickly. Api struggles to play 80 minutes already, and if he gets injured then we are in real trouble.
We don't need to let him go now and could probably need him to play before the season is out. All we would achieve is strengthen a side we want to finish behind us on the ladder. Makes no sense IMO.
So, the Marshall Plan is to rely on an ageing Api and, if necessary, let a talented kid in Talyn go. That's huge call from the yet-to-prove-himself Marshall. What could possibly go wrong? Well, basically everything IMO.
TDS Parra immediately! There you go ..

@helmesy Something stinks there has to be another issue with all of this . Why would you let him go mid season unless there is other in house issues making this immediate makes no sense.
So the 3rd member of the Wests HM unbeaten team has now left the club.
Great bunch they seem
Hoping this is a swap deal for someone, surely not an early release for nothing at all. But knowing the tigers we will get sfa again.

Yeah, don’t hold your breath on a swap!

@helmesy don’t worry Joel I won’t be holding my breath, the club can be so frustrating.
@tigertownsfs I think I read somewhere that TDS was on $400k at the tigers
Just doesn't make sense to me.
This club deserves exactly what it gets.

Sums it up for me.
My POV months ago was that I was happy for Klemmer to go, but only if we got in a body to replace him. Not only have we failed there, we've also let more FG talent leave, with nothing in return.
Questions need to be answered.
