@jedi-tiger I think you mean start again again.

Best case scenario is that Galvin is a self-entitled, petulant, brat-son of a bogan dad who has almost no support from other players and getting rid of him ends all the dramas and team harmony prevails.

Worst case scenario is that the way Galvin feels is more widespread within the squad and they'll be looking to apportion blame to other players and/or coach and/or Richardson. Wooden spoon 4 could well be on the way if that's the case.

If media reports are correct, part of the deal to allow Galvin to negotiate an immediate release is the condition that he drops bullying allegations against the club. Galvin attributes that bullying as a response by others to the original media release that was written (i'm assuming) and authorized by Richardson. I see that release condition as being Richardson covering his backside (no mean feat the last time I saw him). This whole situation has been handled appallingly by Richardson, IMO.

I saw some speculation that the $165k fee was just to allow Galvin to negotiate away, it didn’t preclude that we would also get something in return from the other club

most clubs would be at their salary cap or player limit, so the reality is it will likely mean players get shaken out....or pursue a boxing career. At this point another team will not be interested in the dregs, so u need to offer players another team actually needs.

I agree with this. I think the journalists reporting on this are overlooking it as well. The talk this morning is "well $165k wont help the WT"

but Richo knows that. He wants Isaac Moses to pay him $165k and then he will start negotiating with other clubs regarding the release.

@lorenzo i agree with you as well. For example, its clear Newcastle will have to shed a player to fit Dom Young in (as of 8am this morning SEN radio say that deal is not dead apparently)

There's going to be plenty of player movement before June 30 I reckon.

I have no problems with how Richardson handled the matter (other than the player tweets) it was the Isaac Moses camp that leaked/muddied the waters as he would have done irrespective of how Richo responded.
My preference would have been to stand Galvin down for the rest of the season but pay his wage and go to court over the bullying claims, but I’m sure the RLPA would have became involved on ‘player welfare’ at the behest of Moses as they did for a player that didn’t request any action and wasn’t even managed by Moses but requested by Moses

AGENDAS !!!!

That sounds like a pretty good outcome for us. A permanent replacement for Galvin in a weak spot in our pack and the Galvin saga done with. Hope he struggles to get the money he will obviously be chasing.

Parra or Dogs both offering him $750 per yr .. good job by his manager costing him around 300 grand a season . But  Moses got one up on Benji who would want this guy as your manager

Media already spinning it that he is leaving the Tigers to take less elsewhere...there is no doubt those deals have sweeteners. or they are bullshit and the offers are closer to a million and its all to support the narrative that the poor kid is so desperate not to play for us that he is taking unders elsewhere when he really is not. I'm pretty sure that Burton and Critta would not be impressed that this kid is coming for more than what they are on, these quoted contract figures are all smoke and mirrors. I guarantee you that Bellamy made sure steffie was selected in the NSW squad as it was promised to him when he took less to go to the Storm. Wait and see if we lose game 1 and Payne Haas goes down for game 2 or 3 and see who is actually picked to replace him.

The sliding doors moment for us and the Galvin saga is when Parra beat us in the game where we dropped him. If we had won that game he would still be in reserve grade.

Thoughts on Tom Duffy, being looked at by a few clubs as a mid-season transfer before June 30.

I hope we’re at the front of the queue. he is a phenomenal talent.

Definitely worth looking at but only thing is he’s inexperienced at NRL level. He’s probably a year ahead of Latu & he seems to have a good kicking game but should we be looking at more experience or do we just want depth in the position? Do we look at Jake Clifford who has a huge kick & experience? Not a as a first choice but as genuine experienced back up? Personally, think Sexton our best option right now. Guess there’s a few options there to consider.
