Chad Townsend deal for 18months anyone?
Oh good god no!
he is about AD standard as a half...
if latu stays fit we won't need him
Latu is made of glass
agree no way latu gets through half a season 25 and a full season 26
chad is running around in NSW cup. He seems culturally a decent human, is much more likely to play first grade for the tigers than the roosters and allows us to move Luai to preferred 6 and have a more game managing 7. I honestly don’t see the downside.
- @tigertownsfs The half situation is serious Latu/ Luai both do not have a competent kicking game . Latu will struggle to get on the field consistently so where does that leave the team . Sexton would be my choice is pretty much a complete half and has a kicking game , the guy is not a world beater but would be the first real half the team has had in a decade . I have bypassed Latu at this stage until his body is ready to compete the club should as well otherwise they will be in a situation of never having a a half that competes weekly which will affect the continually of the team in general . The club needs to sign a half that can play weekly does not have to be super star at this stage just a workman like player that covers most bases. Townsend is playing reserve grade Sexton is playing 1st grade guiding around one of the top teams in the comp .
If the answer is Sexton, we will not see him till 2026, still have this year to get through. I doubt the dogs dump Sexton and put Galvin in this year, he will be lucky to see a bench spot at the dogs the way they are going.
Dogs have Woods coming through as their long term 7. Galvin would be the 6 with Burton shifting to centre or to Perth. Gus is setting up the Bulldogs to have a run similar to the panthers. Sexton isn’t resigned yet which tells you were he sits on their list of priorities given the lack of 7s running around first grade.
galvin to roosters to partner Walker
roosters will punt sandon smith and have havili as backup
dce to dolphins
that would put sandon smith on the market, not that good but potentially more durable than latu fainu
very concerned about bula exiting next he will be hot property and Isaac managing
You are right to be concerned about Bula but that’s only if he wants to go managers work for players not the other way.very concerned about bula exiting next he will be hot property and Isaac managing
If he wants to go he will go if he wants to stay he will no matter who his manager is. For what ever reason Galvin has wanted out for 2/3 seasons now
@jedi-tiger Do not be concerned he will stay if he wants not necessarily his managers wishes . I am not concerned same with TDS if he leaves he leaves he is nowhere near ready to step up a couple of seasons easy he has a pathway if he likes , if to impatient to have a proper apprenticeship like Grant well good luck to you !
The TDS story that’s begun where his manager is apparently saying he will go to market if Api is extended is extremely depressing
Wests Tigers are believed to be eying off a move for St George Illawarra youngster Jonah Glover as they prepare for life without teenager superstar Lachlan Galvin.
Glover has been one of the stars for the Dragons in NSW Cup this season but he hasn’t been able to crack it for an NRL debut, coach Shane Flanagan opting instead for Lyhkan King-Togia when he made the decision to drop halfback Lachlan Ilias a few weeks ago.

Glover can’t do much more. Through 10 appearances in the NSW Cup, the 22-year-old has recorded 11 try assists and nine line break assists. The Dragons have won seven of those games and Glover has been a large part of their success.
It appears he has caught the eye of the Tigers in the process as they prepare for the imminent departure of Galvin, who is expected to leave the club in coming weeks.
Glover is on a development contract with the Dragons this season and is yet to agree a deal for 2026, meaning he is free to do what he wants at season’s end.
Adam Reynolds has confirmed he’s been talking to the Tigers about 2026.

sure but it just shows how horrible the world views our club. A kid who we bring all the way through. Pay overs for. Debut well before his time. Doesn’t want to wait behind a multi premiership, origin, international. Just depressing.
