One positive is that it gives the club room to continue to improve the roster and retain the best talent rather than have two $1m + halves. Latu will have a much more normal contract development ie if he gets more reps and shows his improvement this year he will get an upgrade and extension but still well below $1m. We also have good leverage to get a club to release a player we need if they want Galvin for 26 ie a Spencer Leniu from the roosters. I can see this even happening this year if Galvin is going to a team that is out of contention this year and they are happy to get their hands on Galvin early ie you could see brown to knights, Galvin to eels this year. He hasn't, but his representative has briefed the media (both News and Fairfax) that coaching is the major issue in this decision.
If Galvin isn't happy with that being reported all over the RL world on his behalf, then he needs to find new representation.

Benji is a rookie coach and Moses has identified that attacking Benji as the problem rather than Moses wanting to stack a club of his coach clients is the best way to get what he wants. The manager is your employee, it’s no excuse to say that you have nothing to do with the dirty tricks, if I acted in an unprofessional at work my employer may have its reputation ruined.
