Geez these media outlets are really so full of crap. They write about how Luai will go to Parra because he played with Moses for 2 games in Origin yet completely ignore the fact that he is basically brothers with Turuva and May, played and won a premiership with Api, coached by his childhood hero, is co-captain etc... yet 2 games at origin level trump all of that to publish rubbish clickbait.
yes bulldog really reaching with that one lol
If Galvin does not lift his game he will lose his starting spot and it will have nothing to do with contract discussions. Has been very ordinary since the end of last season. Opposition teams know he only has a few tricks and goes to water if they crowd him in defence. I expect this weekend he will have to really pare it back and pick his moments, our wingers and centres did not see any quality ball against Newcastle except the one try where Galvin stayed on the right and when he swung to the left he did not make it in time to get involved.galvin is now liking some oarra fans post about coming home lol, allegedly spotted at a Cafe with Isaac and mitch, you couldn't make this stuff up...
if he does sign elsewhere will he kick stones to get a 2026 release ?
If he signs elsewhere then I would sit him in reserve grade unless the other team offer up someone special. He isn't on huge coin.
I actually reckon that unless he signs soon then we need to start giving Latu the 6 more and more to develop him. If he goes then we should blacklist Isaac Moses.
Phoenix Godinet is also a Isaac Moses client he has signed on for a couple of years
play galvin in centres give latu fainu a run
You are 100% correct.

I can't quite get the anti-Galvin comments on here. He, like all the others, has played 1 NRL game in season 2025 so far. It wasn't anything spectacular but he's not alone on that measure. He's a kid. He's got excuses. Others don't.
@mercy-rule I'm not questioning his potential and in fact it may actually work in his favor if he cannot get it together in first grade, a stint in KOE might give him the space he needs to get his groove back. It's a double edged sword, he needs to perform so we can win games and it might incentify him to stay, however if he does turn it around it will just make him more attractive to other teams, I prefer he plays well and we make the 8 and then lose him rather than he plays crap and we miss the 8 and we still lose him.
@lorenzo, I wasn't referring to your comments specifically. Others are also being a little harsh on him, IMO, after 1 game and then the rumours about his playing future.
One of the most talented young outside backs in rugby league, May appeared in 30 matches for the Penrith Panthers and represented Samoa at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup(RLWC) before his career came to a halt following an alleged off-field incident.
Previously stood down by the NRL, ARLC Chairman Peter V'landys confirmed to The Herald this week that "he's free to play" and make his long-awaited return after all domestic violence charges against him were withdrawn.
Since the charges were dropped on Monday at a court hearing, reports have suggested that the Wests Tigers are among several NRLteams considering a bid for his services.
For the first time since he has been available to play again, Wests Tigers skipper Apisai Koroisau has endorsed a possible move, stating that he would "definitely" be open to seeing his former Penrith teammate join the club alongside older brother Terrell May.
"Definitely," Koroisau said when asked if he was open to seeing Taylan May return to the field and sign with the Tigers.
"He's an incredible player. He's (had it) pretty hard off the field at the time but it sort of is what it is at the moment and the club will execute that if needed.
"It's hard to come by these kind of guys.
"He works out in the backfield and you need that from your wingers these days and he's that quick - some of that speed you can't teach.
"I'm sure there's a few clubs going for him so we'll see what happens."

The issue with Galvin is that he has all the potential in the world but he and his manager continue to play footsy with the media and other clubs about signing away. Why would this club and its fans support him when he is treating us that way. It’s not like he has single handedly got us in the 8 - we spooned with him at 6. This talk after round 1 ontop of all the talk last year will make him a very unpopular player. He had every opportunity to extend and upgrade but he hasn’t and this is now going to be a storyline all year up until November 1 and it detracts from the teams effort to make the finals and improve.

Agree. This is being played out exactly from his manager's handbook, and Galvin and family seem to be right onboard with it.
I'm already losing the admiration that I had for Lachlan because of this, and I'd actually like to see Latu Fainu get a run now. Have read that Latu's direct playing style would nicely complement Luai's natural style and that makes a lot of sense to me.
As some have said, Richo could just waived the november 1 deadline with Galvin, let him make his intention to sign elsewhere etc for 2027 early and we can commence playing latu fainu at 7 or 6 and move galvin to centres or 13
It’s hard to know the lay of the land when it comes to the behind the scenes machinations of these things. I have been fortunate enough to be privy to some intel in the past which was dialectically opposed to what the media was saying so I’m always a bit hesitant to embrace a particular narrative.
What I will say is that Lachlan most likely needs to be much more careful about the advice he’s getting and his actions (as innocent as putting a love heart on a post is), as without the runs on the board you can come across as entitled and this can hurt you long term.
As others have said, these distractions are the last thing he, or our club need at this point.

I’m not sure how much of a distraction this is for Lachie. I was out at Concord today & they were training, looked sharp too but only opposed session so not the best guide obviously. But they all looked happy, plenty energy. I think he just wants to play & is not in a hurry to sign as he wants to win games. He wants to be sure the club is heading in the right direction in terms of on field results. I have no doubt that results will improve this year but how much is the question. We lack genuine depth so if injuries strike we’ll struggle. But it would not shock me to see him, and the team, play much better this Sunday. So I think this is more a distraction for fans more than Lachie imo. It’s hard to know the lay of the land when it comes to the behind the scenes machinations of these things. There’s obviously been talk of Taylan May but has anyone seen anything of Tyrone in the Super League? I caught most of the latest HULL KR game and he played well at 7. No idea who will be the back up halves next season besides perhaps Latu but Tyrone would be a handy player to have in the top 30 I think. Plenty of experience now & seems to have really matured. Would not put much of dent in your cap too. This is his last year of a 2 year deal at Hull so will be interesting to see what happens there. The 3 Mays together mightn’t be a bad thing, I think Sione has improved because of his brothers joining.
Has been very ordinary since the end of last season.
He's literally played one competitive game. Let's cool our heads on this stuff a bit....
Far out we are jumping the gun. The kid has talent, we can all see that. He is learning his trade and will be good some weeks bad the next. We have this whole year to look at him and see if he is worth the money others will throw at him. If he is you hope the connections he forms create a want to stay. If he isn't what we though,t we can let him go to the highest bidder with the security we have another solid apprentice in Latu and others coming through.
We as a supporter group live to much in the past or the future. Lets enjoy the fact he is ours for now and watching him grow and worry about the maybes later.

I agree; however, there have been three (generally) sub-par performances against low-quality opposition. Then it happened again against the Knights.
