Klemmer was at Leichhardt last night in his Tigers gear.

Didn't look that engaged though.

@dirty-reds The team looked much better with Hope at 9 … TDS will need to up the anti , TDS  defence is an issue , if a journey man is moving the team in the right direction I know who would be my back up 9 .I am over waiting for potential to show itself .. 3 spoons enough .

TDS described by Tim Sheens as one of the best prospects he's ever seen. I'm not jumping off the TDS train just yet. Slow start to the year for sure but he's a keeper. 9 next week, 14 after that for me.

im not saying TDS isn’t the future and a great prospect. I’m saying the only criteria for who should be 14 is what helps us win the game round 1. Wins are all that matters now not development. If people are better off developing in NSW cup then they should do that. That is what reserve grade is for. We need wins. We need to get as far as way from the spoon as possible

Hope can't play for 3 months, I think it would be better to assess who is the best choice at that point.

There was a time a few years ago that Rua was the next Cameron Smith. I need to see more than good trial form.

Exactly. Rua had a couple of good runs in a trial and was being anointed as the second coming of Brandon Smith.

All I'm saying is it's folly to make conclusive judgements on players based on trial games.

Hope looked good - let's see him back it up in a competitive environment now.

Didn’t say he was a prospect Steve, just more forward than TDS who is very much in the development stage of his career.

I didn't say you did (tigertown did), and my name isn't Steve.

My apologies, trying to do things quickly & didn’t realise I made an error in my reply.

Yep, Chammas reporting it. He might be done. We should cross our fingers for medical retirement 🤞

We reportedly have $1m to spend if we get rid of klemmer contract. Another $600k from olam and 3 open top 30 spots would be incredible. We can target both a top quality centre and edge back rower (or Spencer if those rumours are true)

100%!

NBWT reporting the injury occurred last year and wasn't pre-existing.

it's an injury he picked up against the storm in round 18 and not on the knee he had problems with prior to joining us. Seems like we may be able to medically retire him. Having said that I do feel sorry for Olam, he played with a great deal of passion and commitment, hopefully he gets paid out just in time to take a gig developing the new PNG team.

zac Laybutt is the centre we would be inquiring about. The cowboys have a log jam of some good young centres.
