I think we need Klemmer to have a big year for us. With the improved pack I think he could go ok this year

Agreed, he looks fit and I’m hoping him and May work well together.

I’m fine with keeping Klem too, my suggestion is highly unlikely anyway, but what do u think of the option he has? As he’s 32 next year & will be over 250 games if he plays 12+ do u think it’s in the best interests of the club to keep him or free up a substantial amount of cap money?

I think you keep klemmer for another year. We need to hold the middle and despite him going a bit missing last year I think a more balanced pack this year will simplify his role back towards the 2023 version that was quite effective

probably free up the money after this season but who knows. With a couple of young guys alongside him doing their jobs - may lead to him playing ok next 2 seasons. We do need a tough head to lead our pack. Klemmer can be that player if he's fit

I doubt Klem gets his 14 games needed to be extended unless its on a very low contract. Should get replaced by Johannsson for 2026.

I’d even go part way through 2025. Johannsson is very impressive. I like him a lot.

I'm not sure what will happen to Klem but I think unless he gets injured Tim will play plenty of games this year. It' will be interesting to see him in the trials because I think he will do very well.

Im still not willing to put much expectation into Johannsson, was at RMC level this time last year. Hopefully he does well but I think it is wise to keep expectations low and not put too much pressure on him.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

As we've seen in the past not many players come to the Tigers and improve.  Api is probably one of the few who could say he improved or, at least, did not regress as a player.  Ice did ok for 7 or 8 games last year but did not reach the heights he showed at the Eels prior to his time at the Tigers.  But one of the things I like about our signings this year is that they all have something to prove imo.

Romey needs to prove he can not only play the lead in the halves but have an impact at a club that hasn't had success for a long time.

Terrell needs to show he can be as good without JWH and Collins setting a platform.

Royce needs to show he can play 25-35 mins a game and have the impact he did in the 15-20 minutes he played at the Sharks.

Tito needs to show he can be as good at a the Tigers as he was at the Panthers.

Jeral needs to prove he can play NRL at a high and consistent level.

Jack needs to prove he can be a leader in the forward pack and the club in general.

All this and we haven't touched on what some of the younger guys need to prove as well, Can Lachie improve on his first year in the NRL, the same with Luke. Can Tallyn take his game to another level? And how about Jahream? Can Samuela have a better year? Can Latu prove he can push for a spot?

They all need to prove that they can improve as individuals and if the majority of them do then the team will also improve.

with it looking likely stages is resigning with broncos the club should take a look at cobbo

if talyn may be omes available he would slot straight in, if he doesn't then cobbo would look  good in this backline at centre of wing

I would hope we could get Tayln relatively cheap, so with the number of players we are probably not resigning such as Douehi, Naden and co perhaps we could have a spot for both Taylan and Cobbo, both could play a couple of positions. My issue is Cobbo will be looking for top dollar as a centre. I guess it will also depend on how he plays this year...cant see him reacting very well to Madge's coaching style.

Tumeth, Matamua and Kit - one of them has to make it, surely? That back row, to me, looks like priority number one for external recruitment unless someone breaks through.

You wouldn't be extending Tumeth or Matamua after this year. Perhaps NSW Cup contracts but not top 30
