Also interesting that he will sign a contract in due course. Richo must be working on some players for the shredder. Hopefully we still sign a lock 🤞

And this is so Wests Tigers. Welcome to your 3yr deal, but hasn't yet signed... maybe he's had to announce this because of the news already being leaked? And yes, hopefully firing up the shredder.
@tigerton I can't agree with your assessment here. I think Stefano will be one of the "buys of the year" when working under the Bellamy systems. But, I do agree he didn't develop at WT as we hoped and expected. Why?? Well, I don't think it's a lack of talent on his part.
May, on the other hand, IMO an honest workman in a better team and system than WT, was unexpectedly released from an even more than usual cashed-up Roosters, and eventually rejects St George for WT. Kudos to his manager. That's about the extent of it.
very good signing well done tigers
Not as good a player as Stefano (he will kill it at storm) however May and Hunt combined negates the Stefano loss
Anybody else nervous about the "An NRL Contract will be signed in due course" line?
Im sure they have probably signed a heads of agreement, however playing contract pending the final sign off by the NRL...probably something to do with the delay on him released by roosters and/or the confirmation re Miller contract termination. Looks like the Dragons leaked the news of him rejecting them and why and Richo wanted to get ahead of that.,
Im sure they have probably signed a heads of agreement,
And that has never gone wrong for us before.......

I think it provides a balance and variation we have lacked for a long time. A prop rotation of May, Klem, Hunt, pole and Seyfarth/Sione offers much more threat. Especially on the back of set starts from our back 5 that will be much improved.
Well, I don't think it's a lack of talent on his part.
No, it was lack of heart on his part.
@russtutty63 with Pole still not signing on it gives me Stefano vibes. Even though he only had a deal officially put in front of him a couple of months ago common sense would suggest we’ve been talking to him and his management at least since Stefano knocked us back.

TBH I would be more shocked (pleasantly) if Pole signed with us than if he left for Melbourne. He has a lot dragging him to the Storm (fame fortune, family, friends) and not a lot tying him to us. I hope he stays but I would be surprised.
If a club would pick JB up for say $400,000 I think they’d do alright especially Souths, maybe Manly or? An international back rower with plenty to prove at that price is ok business for that club & ok for us.If we are to sign Terrell “the terror” May then I don’t think we’ll see anymore signings unless a few leave the club. If we were to sign one more I’d love Frizell but obviously would depend greatly on Bateman going & a few other matters falling our way. The experience he’d bring would be so helpful to Benji & the young back rowers coming through & the guy seems to stay extremely fit. If you’re Lachie or Samuela just seeing guys like Luai, Api, Frizell, Bird, Turuva, Olam etc in the dressing shed before u run out would fill you with confidence, not that they’re short of it. But at training it would help so much in raising standards & dealing with tough times as well.
Its a shame that Hastings is probably a block on a Bateman/Frizell swap.

if pole leaves I will be disappointed but above all I don’t want to release him for 2025
