We just need to identify the players we need and recruit them for 2026. Quite unlikely we get the names we need for 2025 at this point.

Big Congrats to Sam Fainu winning player of the year, very well deserved and I like the fact our top 3 players all got a major award. Api, Galvin and Sam.

I do notice that Tui Kamikamica is off contract in 2026 seems to me that somethings got to give at the Storm now they have stef and are looking to keep paps. NAS or Tui will surely be shaken out of the tree for 2025. I think Tui could be a great fit for us and there is that Fiji connection with Api and Bula, only issue is that he is 30 this year so a 3 year deal might be a bit of a risk. I would also take Nelson, however Tui seems to me like a more consistent less noisy proposition, also has a better tackle efficiency at 96% vs NAS at 91% a key area for our middles, NAS has a bit more X Factor, however I don't think that's what we need in our middles.

Yep, and with 30 spots used for 2025 there’s no point looking

At this stage I’d just pay out Naden and Toa’s contracts and move on. The roster spots are more valuable than what we’d be paying them.

So, quite an interesting comment there from NAS…

Douhie's top 30 spot was a true waste of space as is Sullivan's

Surely they both have some trade value?

Bizarre that douhie got a top 30 contract for 2025. Without even playing a game! Just terrible roster management from Benji and Richo. Make him work for it! Make him play the position you want him to play!

I would be VERY happy for Doueihi to be gone, Im his second harshest critic after Garry..............but....I can make a very easy case for signing him on that Contract. It was reported that he is on slightly higher than minimum Contract. You need someone on these numbers and if AD is your lowest paid player, then typically your roster is in great shape.

Naden & Sullivan are worse Contracts on the books, but I dont want AD anywhere near first grade. A minimum wage player is back up only and AD is great back up.

That argument doesn't work though when you have limited roster spots. It is the Roster spot that is the issue not the salary cap space.

I disagree. If you disgregard salary, then you just want your 30 best players and I would strongly argue AD is a better player than Feledy, Tumeth and a few others.

Im splitting hairs. I would like him gone

Wouldn’t you rather Leo Thompson from the Knights? I would.

for sure, however I'm looking at a stop gap for 2025. Wouldn't touch Tui on a 26 start contract.

there has to be some movement in the forwards at the storm, no way they can keep all of them for 25. There is a middle that played his first game this year, Lazarus Vaalepu, penrith jr, he really looks the goods.

Feledy and Tumeth weren't signed 6 months ago when we knew we needed the spot to transform the roster this summer.
