I actually hope the Tigers have done the ground work and can take their time to get this right. Massive appointment, better not to rush it.

Madge has shown at Souffs and now at NZ that he can coach a team with a massive and dominant pack using a not too subtle game plan of smashing the opposition and running over and through the middle all day. Madge has also shown at the Tigers that if this Plan A is unavailable, there is no Plan B. That Test was such a Madge game.
Unfortunately Madge has also shown he is incapable of building a squad. That Souffs squad was built for him and the NZ goes without saying.
So, can Madge coach? Go Weststigers!

That is my issue as well, he needs a squad to adjust to suit his style and is unable to adjust his style to suit his squad.
I think his time at the Wests Tigers showed that he only had one tool in his belt and did a really poor job at developing players. i think he can coach but needs things to be ideal for him to achieve results.

why is it bitter? It’s just my opinion from what I saw on the doco. It wasn’t my intention for it to come across as a fact and I’m sure most people understand I’m not stating it’s a fact. I’m confused how I provide my opinion without it coming across as a fact.
