As a Muswellbrook/Gunnedah boy I’m going to have to go in to bat for my country music brethren.

Firstly a lot of my family became magpie and Souths supporters due to some big name players coming from the area (ie Dallas Donnelly, John O’Neill). Granted this was from the 70s, but their impact on the community can’t be overstated.

Which leads to my next point, I grew up a massive football fan from 6yrs old yet only went to my first arl match in my mid teens when the roosters and panthers brought a trial game to Muswellbrook. It was a surreal event seeing stars like Brad Fittler in real life. Taking a game to Tamworth might not result in a talent pool or financial return, but I can assure you that some of that community will never meet a “celebrity” in their life, and the chance to see api or klem in person is a very special life experience.

I was at that game as well, the roosters all went out to the Prince of Wales after the game. Brad Fittler bought me drinks and we chatted for awhile. It was a really good night that one.

I also agree with your point, it was so weird sitting at Olympic Park and watching NRL players play on that field.

@skippa13 yeah but Gunnedah produced both Miranda Kerr & Erica Baxter, so you can't complain 😁

Haha, yeah I don’t know what local water source they were drinking from, but it certainly wasn’t connected to our house.

@garry wow that’s unreal. I heard he run amok in town that night. Places like the Prince and Eatons will inspire that though…

Yeah the Prince and Eatons were regulars for me in those years.

this is a good template for CSS. Set out a long term cohesive rebuild plan and then execute it over a decade as individual components can be financed.

On “Ask The Boss”, Lee indicated that the club will be working with both councils to upgrade LO and CSS.

Ah thanks for the heads up

- I couldn't find this ep on the WT website (it's missing the latest 2 episodes) - so I had to search through Facebook.

Interestingly they said magic weekend deal ends next year.

Also, everytime Lee talks about home grounds he mentions Liverpool council, as well as Campbelltown and Inner West - do you think he's trying to get a stadium at Liverpool?

IMO Lee wants a stadium next to his office at Liverpool rather than Campbelltown

As a Liverpool local, I'm not sure Lee graces our streets with his presence much these days. Thankfully. Harry's Meriton Apartment Hotel just down the road from Brydens is edging towards completion though. Naturally, I'd love a WT stadium at Liverpool but I think it's more likely to happen if Harry got involved than Lee.

I can’t see the new NSW government committing money to a new stadium for at least  2 terms.

Yeah, no chance of anything substantial (and nor should there be) given the economy/inflation and investment in Penrith and the SFS before it.
